Suge nite pure kush

They say the old hazes are such a great high because of ocimene as well

shiloh says him and his family (wife’s family runs emerald cup) call it awesomene cuz it’s such a feel good terp

so it’s something I want to focus on one of these projects
He said he was gonna send some ocimene stuff too for me to work on so.
Between the TSR x RB, all the old hazes and whatever he sends should be a decent start to nailing down high ocimene profiles in potent pot

There’s too much shit I want to do
I need a warehouse lol
5-10 100’ greenies would do as well

If I could I would spend all my time exploring genetics but my bills dictate that I must go to work much more then I’d like

Always see great strains coming out of Mendocino and Northern California in general , the people that did the tropical sleigh ride have a crazy orange smelling plant I’d love to get my hands on. Looks like a good kush but smells like kerosene and orange peels

I think one of their favorite TSR phenos is heavy orange cramsicle. Like 54c or something
they have done a lot of large hunts of it
Quite a few diff expressions
I can get my hands on em

I just can’t do orange strains
Wasn’t kidding about deem runs with d limo fuckin up my love for orange terps lol
Idk if folks caught that comment about the bark up above

I like that they work with lavender , it’s a favorite strain of mine especially for breeding I’ve got a lot of those beens put away and I’ve got a few crosses sitting around waiting to get explored, djs grape crush/lavender , ice cream cake/lavender , and a blue dream/lavender.

I can’t do sharp citrus strains but creamy orange or candy lemon or lime even the lemon pledge floor cleaner is ok but California orange or tangy type terps are a no go for me. To me the citrus strain are either real oily or woody based and the woody ones I can’t stand.

When cookies first chowed up in the san francisco dispensary scene I was given some s1’s that a dealer called durban pie or pre-cookies. The dealer said they got it as bagseed from the initial dispensary batch that berner bought from a supplier and labeled as girl scout cookies. Supposedly the same bagseed that berner started the cookies line with.

Without speculating on legitimacy, I know the dealer had this when cookies was only available from that dispensary that berner worked at. It grew like cookies but more vigorous with four branches at every node. Incredible structure, I have never seen 4 branches on each node before or since. Loaded with buds.

Better resin production on the leaves, and smoked like cookies with a more complex high and more intense flavor. It smelled like gasoline and something rotten, kind of like dark chocolate but nasty, and when you handled the buds you could smell hints of mint and sweetness.

Here’s a few photos of that one:

This early s1 dealer line was the only cookies line I really loved the high from.
I can’t confirm anything about its origins but it was definitely very early like around 2011, and definitely related to cookies in some way.

Has anybody heard of this stuff? The dealer wasn’t large scale, this line may be an “isolated incident” I’m not sure how many people smoked this stuff and don’t know if he gave it to anyone else.

the line lives on in a polyhybrid. I crossed it to another old black market / prop 215 collective line called Surf’s Up (thai x canadian 50 day indica), and then a few years later I mixed the line with bodhi’s blue dream hashplant.

durban pie x surf’s up x sc blue dream hashplant

I call that line surfin’ blue durban.
It’s amazing for outdoor growing here in the rainy pnw. finishes early, dark color, big colas, good bud rot resistance. I gave that line to a friend because I feel like the genepool is saturated with cookies genetics and I didn’t have an interest in working with cookies genetics long term.

But now I am asking him to give me back a handful of seeds so I can take another look at that line next outdoor season. Will be useful for outdoor yields.

If anyone is interested I have some photos of the durban pie x surf’s up mother plant as well. It was an interesting plant, I grew that as a clone and indoors it showed a thai expression but outdoors it showed mostly the durban pie characteristics.

That totally makes sense. I’ve never been big on cookies because the smell and flavor was sweet not dank. But Green Door had the best strongest cookies bud around 2010-12. It totally makes sense that it was actually a different cut. That bud turned you into a retard, and had that really sweet smell.

The forum cut and hybrids I have tried since then were like poor imitations of what green door had.

and man, I still want grapes. I never stopped craving that purple.

JOTI’s Afghani and AKBB 89NL both throw plants with 3 and 4 branches per node.

If it’s obviously a cookie bagseed it’s a bagseed, sounds like it’s not a straight cookie tho which isn’t a bad thing sounds fire

Might be something else with cookies

the whole crew Was kind of a mess at that point on the street/small grower level

Berner didn’t make cookies at all he’s just a hype man, so that part of his story isn’t right

Yeah that sounds like you might have tried the cut I had in 2010-11

I know he didn’t make it, he just stuck branding on it.

I heard he just got it as bagseed from a batch he bought from a dispensary supplier that was seeded from a HPS light burn herm.

It was sunset sherbert not key lime pie I’m sure of this.

no he doesn’t grow

He’s friends with the growers that are friends with the folks that bred it

It was made in mendo/SF

he’s just the face for the brand and partial owner of the actual company

There’s no like, him getting something and running with it against folks wishes, they’re all working together
Now even farther back to like what made f1 durb it gets complicated as to if the person/people who made it endorse the brand itself

this is one part of cannabis history I know very well and was pretty involved with.

cookies was around before most think, even I didn’t know that until semi recently tho

finally getting the flo rida kush at some point here so I will have ran every component that made cookies as a whole and eventually have them all together again.

Should be fun. but there’s no reason to re do cookies lol

Cookiemonster415 that died dalvin kept that cherry pie/durban for the longest time…they all lost the cut but he had it…maybe thats what ur talking about

Yeah I know he doesn’t grow, I was just talking about his branding. He is the guy who stuck the cookies name on that strain and hyped it. The best thing berner ever did was pay for other musicians studio time.

I heard he was just responsible for buying some seeded bud from a dispensary supplier, and slapping a name on it to make it sell. Also that the forum cut was selected from dispensary bagseed.

in what regards, to the 09 animal being a ridiculous tag put on the forum but called animal haha

if you’ve had the animal for that long then you have it

I’m saying the people that are saying they have the 09 animal that jbeezy specifically brought about is literally just the forum

I always heard/read Cookies was made by cherry pie herming on durban poison and that was it.

It was year’s later that I suddenly started hearing about this F1 Durban and whatnot

Did you just start going on the forums around that time?

it’s definitely not a new concept
The cherry pie x og thing was repeated by a lot of like… Spain and Canadian breeders and like leafly and dispensaries n shit
Shit BCSC stole unknownprophets pics of animal and posted a high times magazine ad of it advertising animal cookie seeds when they didn’t even have the fuckin cut like a decade ago

It was just something that caught on in the beginning and spread before being corrected in time.
