This month, I’m making the decision to provide you all with a little transparency. Sun Clone is going through a lot of changes, and I have an inkling that my single voice (because I am just one person doing my best on behalf of all of you) is being overshadowed.
I want to amplify your voices, but I need your help. If I can implore you to send us an email, answering the below questions, I would personally appreciate it. (and maybe the collective will have more power)
Copy and paste these questions into an email with the subject line “Overgrow Community Response” to info@sun-clone.com, or put your answers in a comment below, and include your answers. Please be respectful and constructive (try not to assume we are the bad guys).
Please arrange the following from most to least important in determining if you will make a clone purchase (from anyone, not just Sun Clone):
HLVD test results.
Cloning practices unrelated to HLVD testing.
Cost per clone.
Company transparency, including when poor practices/test results are remediated.
A company’s genetic library.
On a scale of 1-10 (1 being least agree, 10 being most agree):
A cut must be publicly traceable back to the breeder for me to believe the cut is legitimate.
More industry research is needed on HLVD and other major cannabis diseases.
I trust a company’s published observations and in-house research about their plants/strains.
I test all my incoming clones, regardless if a company has done their own testing.
My trust cannot be recovered once lost, regardless of a company’s efforts to change/improve their practices.

I’ve been following along with your post now and again. Y’all have a nice library and some great offerings in there. I’m loyal to the folks I choose to purchase from, however.
From a customer prospective - regular and transparent HLVD testing should be standard operating procedure. Offering that extra level of service to your customers will go a a very long way in earning yourself some business.
I don’t feel it’s necessary to e-mail a survey to y’all. Most of folks demands have been pretty well documented in the threads you’ve already created. But, as suggested, why not make a poll here?
I do wish you all success. Like many others have expressed, I would love to see those Viroid results. Earn the trust and earn some additional business. Make that poll pubic here.
Not to mention authentic cuts, i’m more than happy to spend the premium.I wouldn’t consider buying a cut unless i’m 100% confident that it’s legit and clean.Even if i were offered it for free unless it’s 100% authentic and clean i don’t want it!
You need to STOP ALL CLONE SALES untill you have got rid of all your infected plants.
And supply updated test for All your mothers.
If you cant do that YOU NEED TO STOP ALL CLONES FROM LEAVING YOUR FACILITIES.
if you cant do that or give a stright answers to that you dont deserve to be in business PERIOD.
I have Proof your a running DIRTY CUTS. How can i hve proof but you cant show your Testing???
your business model will never work we can go get your plants tested and show how stright up evil your business practices are.
And if you cant take this post and it hurts to much thats a reflection on ones self knowing how messed up your company is cause i know you guys know you have plants that have failed and at this stage Dont Care.
Funny thing is you guys want to keep sales coming in but by being this evil you willose more money it doesn’t make sense.
And if you have a problem me calling you evil thats on you to do your due diligence to the community to make sure you are clean. Even if it cost you more than 10 grand to test all yoir plants its will be a better investment than to keep this lie going that you dont know or not in the loop or not on That project or whatever uoi want to keep up as a separation from the truth.
This makes me want to buy plants from you every two months to Publicly criticize your company’s lack of morales. Cause i know they will pop dirty and you cant get around actual FACTS.
Wanted to get on this thread and warn everyone.
Got clones from sunclone 5 to be exact and 3 tested positive for HLVD
At this point all there plants are in some kind of stage of getting it.
They either have got it i suspect over 60 of thier inventory has it. Or they are just infecting them.
They need to be shut down PERIOD if they CAN’T test and show they are free of viruses they are ACTIVELY harming gardens that depend on this medicine.
When it comes to clones it comes down to being clean and authentic. Does the seller have proof of lineage and testing to beck it up? If so i’m more than happy to spend a few hundred!
Everything despite cost, i want them to take them cleanly having proof of lineage and testing! My pioneer friend makes sure everything is good when buying spending a premium on cuts. He has and keeps the paper work to back it up. Cost varies depending on source. Are you getting from a commercial grower trying to stay within legals limits or someone online trying to make a quick flip?

The clone game in legal states has set the standard… If you want to compete in the clone game you need to be consistent with viroid and pathogen testing. The lack of lineage is a joke considering you can get breeder approved cuts for 20 bucks or less with all testing in legal states. Your only angle is shipping to non legal states… Seems like the non legal states are basically your only target market. Because of lack of access they’re willing to accept non-tested unverified cuts at a higher price…

I picked the two at the top, about the HLVD tests and company transparency. It seems that most people are on the same page. Right now I think the only people I would buy clones from is Hoss due to his extreme transparency, and Onepassionategrower because he has documented grows of everything he sells
