Sunset last night.
Wow, killer pinks! Is that at your lake house?
Yeah, had a couple nights of cotton candy sky’s as the sun went down. Pic came out ok but does not do it justice.
The pics never do. Beautiful, bud
That’s a living , who needs more else?
Beautiful! I forget…CR or Panama?
@CanuckistanPete My wife is from CR and we used to live there but since Christmas we have been based in Nicaragua, the land of volcanoes and lakes
Love CR, been a bunch of times…though the last time it sure was getting way too built up for my liking. But you can always go somewhere there to get away from the tourists. How do you like Nicaragua in comparison? Obviously it’s cheaper there. They have their fair share of volcanoes, didn’t know about the lakes, other than Lake Nicaragua. You in San Juan de Sur?
@CanuckistanPete Costa is beautiful for sure and with almost 5% of the entire planets biodiversity there’s always something to see, just on our land down there we have 2 different species of monkeys. Problem is it’s gotten crazy expensive and the economy doesn’t cover the basic cost of living. You are also right about the development moving too fast, if it was built around good infrastructure it may work but the country, like roads etc are falling apart. I’m a resident there and ganja is looking like going federally legal soon so I’ll probably do something in the industry back down there once it passes. Nicaragua is unstable under its dictator run government but about a 1/4 of the price of living to CR. Lake Nicaragua(biggest lake in Central America) produces over 300 days annually of all day offshore winds for the pacific coast which is a surfers dream hence why I and most non-Nicaraguans move here.
We used to go to CR 3 weeks at a time, rent a 4wd and just wing it…no reservations. Back then the roads were absolutely brutal. Loved it. Went 7 or 8 times. You could drive up any old goat path and always felt safe.
Prefer down by the Osa now, or the Caribbean side, or just up in the mountains. Used to pack light, then bring home pounds and pounds of great coffee at a buck a pound. Last time we went it was the same price it is at home. How can most Ticos afford that? Stopped in at Manuel Antonio for one night on the way back to the airport and almost cried what they did to that paradise. What area do you have property in?
That said, there’s still lots of beauty to be had. Nica always intrigued me, but travelling with my wife and daughter and the way we liked to do it, I just didn’t feel like that was the place for it.
Very cool. I like the old car.
I love the lighting at that time of day…almost looks like a painting.
Out of likes. Not out of Sunsets, rainbows, pets, seed sharing, sharing knoiwledge. Great thread on a great site. Can’t think of much that’s better to overgrow the world with.
The wife and I used to walk to the bridge and watch the sunset in the evening when we lived near Estero Island bridge. Not mine and not from the bridge but here is one.
