In Guanacaste, close to Playa Hermosa(there’s 4 or 5 Playa Hermosas in CR) Blessed that It’s a blue zone.
Yeah man way too built up and property is more expensive than most areas in the US. It’s a real shame, same thing happened to Bali but on a more extreme level.
Nicaragua is pretty safe at the moment but never know when that can change. Ortega and his bruja blood thirsty wife will have to die for any real change. My friend’s dad who’s a retired politician made an anti Ortega comment around Christmas and has been in jail ever since, fucked up.
If you ever get the chance you should visit Ometepe an island on the lake with 2 volcanoes on it, very cool and also a blue zone… longest life expectancy in the whole of Nicaragua.

I’ve been to that Playa Hermosa (I think…beside Playa Panama and Coco?) on my first trip to CR.
That photo is beautiful…I definitely looked into going there and wanted to see Granada…was pretty serious about going to Bluefields but there was so many robberies going on there at the time I had to think of my wife and daughter.
Ya, I’m a big Clash fan…though the avy is from Joe Strummers Mescaleroes. Love them too. Strummer wrote a lot of political lyrics, that album the most political of them all. Washington Bullets even used “Sandanista” as the chorus at the end. But he wasn’t against a side, he was against any country that abused human rights.

That’s the one mate, beautiful area but again getting too built up. Covid also really accelerated the unsustainable growth.
For sure and that’s why we live in a gated community, nice not to worry about theft. CR is actually getting pretty bad for crime now too though unfortunately, with all the cociane that pours through the country it’s inevitable. It’s the first stop for the Colombian drug runs.
As am I, got all their releases on vinyl… Sandanista is actually a triple LP which is cool. The irony I was speaking of is that Ortega and the Sandanistas were once freedom fighters kind of like Castro but now they are completely corrupt.
I was meant to see Joe Strummer at Glastonbury in 2003 but he unfortunately passed away 6 months earlier RIP 
Robert Plant doing an acoustic set was something I’ll never forget from that weekend though

I can’t recall which of those beaches…maybe Coco, last time I passed through the area there was condos there. A guy was handing out brochures on the road…I put my window down and said," you’re ruining your country y’know?)
I know when we’ve stayed on the Osa the owner told me when I went on the beach looking for nesting turtles at night, if I see a light walk away from it. He said it was getting bad there with smugglers.
Got everything Clash on vinyl, including the triple vinyl. Got it all on cd too. Saw the Clash live…my all time favorite concert.
