In think in part this is very much the mindset of younger generations that ANY hobby now people seem to have to have turn it into a business or side hustle it’s quite stupid people can’t do things to just enjoy them anymore when monetization is prioritized over passion it kills community seen it time and time again

Ya I know, just adding on to it that I didn’t grow in the 90s. Was stressful enough growing for 10 years without a carbon filter haha.
True, but it doesn’t even seem like there’s genuine interest - it’s just a get money quick scheme. The thought that someone is going to purchase seeds and make a cross using 2 of their seed packs without ever even sampling either line is absurd. The name combination sounds good though!
Anyways, here’s some more pictures. The Field Trip #3 smells extremely good - maybe the best in the flower tent. Very strong pinesol, lemon, rubber aroma. Field Trip #4 smells OK but I think it’s probably leaning a bit more cookies as it’s not especially strong. Still trying to talk myself into harvesting tomorrow so that I can attempt to reveg it (#3).
This Triangle Kush looks different from the others in morphology a bit. Same medium, nutrients, light. Not a mislabel.
Malawi thin leaves , 3rd picture shows the leaf curl which I assume is caused by slightly high N levels a few weeks ago.
Saw voting for that contest started but didn’t see a @minitiger picture to vote for. You let us all down - think of how many seeds you could have ended up with…
There are a few ridiculously nice sunset pictures in that contest - was a toss up for me which one to vote for haha. I like the simple looking one more but both are money shots.

Which plant is that in the twelfth pic? I really like the way she looks, all “knobby” and shit.
I didn’t start growing until like 2015, but I don’t feel called out haha. I only started growing when I moved in with my girlfriend, just because she makes enough money to afford a multi-bedroom house; before that, I pretty much always lived in studio apartments. Can’t really grow in those haha.
I read a shit-ton about growing, though. Spent my entire life reading about growing, always knew I’d do it the first chance I got, legal or not. I also understand what syzygy’s talking about, didn’t take it personally at all haha.
Is this a sorta “drain to waste” style that you’re doing? Because whenever I water so much that there’s runoff in the bottom of the pots, I just leave it there haha. The plants drink it back up eventually. Or maybe it evaporates, I dunno.
Nahhh, everybody thinks like that, it isn’t specific to younger people. My sister was like that about my music first and then the weed stuff. I finally had to be like,”Can’t I just do something because I love doing it? Why does everything have to be,’But how can you make money from this’?”
And she’s 58 haha.
Yeah, sorry about that. I just couldn’t decide which one of my shadow-heavy, overexposed, “Terry Richardson”-style photos people would respond to the most.
I never even looked at the shots that people submitted, maybe I’ll do that tonight. I mean, I like a nice sunset photo as much as the next guy…

SSDD #2 - the top looks very similar to Triple Sunshine.
It’s a “too lazy to figure something out” style. I just have the pots sitting in the saucer, and like you said they end up sucking back up the excess runoff. I know it’s not ideal, I just am indecisive and haven’t really put in enough thought for how I want to integrate drainage into the tent.
haha… for me it’s interesting because it’s something I struggle with when I’ve tried to take sunset shots of the dogs. Maybe dynamic range or something? Their face comes out too dark when shooting into a light like that, or the sky ends up overexposed. Probably why they stand out the most to me.

Oh, that’s cool that that one’s working out. I’m really curious to hear how that smoke is, just because she’s so different from the others.
Anyway, the lights just turned on, gotta water in a minute. I don’t have the AT200 that’s in that tent on a timer, haven’t replaced the one that fried a while back yet, so I’ve just been turning that light off and on manually. Guess I forgot to turn it off this morning, been on all day during what’s supposed to be “lights off.” I’m about to cry haha…

Triple Sunshine and the SSDD #2 have a lot of similar traits that stand out to me having grown TS so many times. I’d love to be able to ask Bodhi about it, as I am suspecting this is a female pheno of the male he used. Guess I could always ask the experts in the B thread haha.

I think I can sort of see what you’re communicating. To me that looks closer to my SSDD #1 this round but I haven’t grown the cutting you had to be firm or confident on that statement - just visually the bud shape to me looks closer to my #1. #2 is more like TS in the narrow elongated buds. Maybe yours were too and the pictures don’t convey it properly - I know I struggle to accurately demonstrate the shape of my #2. The shots I’m posting make the buds look huge and bulky, but when trimmed I think it’s going to be spiraling narrow almost “sativa-ish” flowers. I’ll have to try to get a feel for the smell when I get home tonight. I think it’s died down in intensity a little bit the past week or so, but that may just be because the FT and GG4xSSDD were dominating so much.

#1 has more of a crown shape whereas TS and SSDD #2 look more like a feather or wizard hat.

Yeah, I think it would probably do a bit better from cutting though. I think we could cut off 8" or so of height just by doing 12/12 from a mature clone. Fan leaves starting to get a bit funky so I watered it with some standard 3-2-1 today (seedlings got hit with rest).
I’ll probably get impatient with that being the only thing in the tent once I harvest everything else… If I do, maybe I’ll try to reveg it. TK x TS seedlings are getting kind of stretchy and ready to get going already, they will need to go in there at some point.

Field Trip 3 still drying. Trimmed a lower nug so that I can sample it in a few days. Most excited about FT #3 and GG4 x SSDD right now. Will try to get some stacked shots once the larger buds are dried and trimmed. We’ll see how everything smokes - plant wise though it reinforces my views on the SSDD male crosses being superior to the SSDD F1s.
Triple Sunshine - light stack (4-5 shots)
The more I’m consuming I’m pretty sure that I prefer the TS to the TK. Still like the TK, but TS just resonates with me more. This past run using Jacks 3 2 1 came out really nice, probably stronger smelling than all my past organic grows.
Also, Grove Bags seem to be pretty good at retaining terps, but I’m having much better luck double bagging them. I’m sure heat sealing them is equally reasonable.

Thanks, ever since we legalized I went back to smoking and have been alternating between joint, bowl, and bong. Tried to force myself to vaporize for years but it always felt like something was missing and the high was incomplete. I smoked TS out of a bong tonight. Thinking about ordering a cheap bubbler, but just ordered a new bowl a few days ago haha… Should probably just stick with that for a while.
When I smoke joints I usually only smoke about 1/3 of it in a night to my self. Realistically a bowl or bong is probably the most appropriate method for my tolerance level.
I’m good with all methods (of inhalation) but you won’t catch me doing edibles anymore.
