Tampa Crippy run

:joy: So hard to choose too who goes when another pheno of the offspring Xmas will be next

Iā€™m thinking of doing 6-8 marble cuts in cups for a window crop, possibly add a PTK male ? This is A clone was done by the window, and not exactly strict 12/12. Only to trigger, but it still did surprisingly well for bud growth. For targeted pollination is confusing. Seed is random in full development. Next test is live pollination or is it still the same resistance ?

Here is the A top against Marble (left to right)

A does have the size but Marble definitely frostier than A and has sativa, and it looks like my CH E (purple Thai pheno)

Thereā€™s another point I should make tooā€¦this Marble is a perfect bonsai style untrained. Meaning it grows naturally this way

Its great when plants do that ive had a few from the strain im workin that are showing excellent natural growth structure

@Florida_man_genetics Yes, it makes keeping the mom manageable. The other 2 phenos I started donā€™t, however one of the offspring in the B group is showing this growth characteristic

Now I got to thinkingā€¦ Do I trim close OR do I leave some of the colored sugar tips alone  Furthermore, what has escaped me is an even shaped profile, rounder than uneven or ragged and I got to searching compression, and found some growers lightly squeeze, some in parchment paper too. So I gave a few a try as light cupping as Iā€™m rotating, some leaves wonā€™t stick, so I decided trim what doesnā€™t stick off. I think being small compressing what sticks gives a denser appearance and color mixed in. Anyway I think I got what looks like a Thai stickā€¦I think I may do this from now on, compress together lightly and trim whatā€™s not sticking as that obviously doesnā€™t have glands. Anyway, this is a looker, even though small

I say take off more sugar leaf the color of the bud is too pretty to cover up

Yeah, I hear ya, but this pheno isnā€™t a shave it all off clean type. It would reduce weight too much. Too thin as it is

Incredible looking grows and as a new grower learned several things along the way reading your diary.

Is Tampa Crippy related to, or did it play a role in the development of Triangle Kush? Humboldt CSI has Triangle Kush S1 seeds that sound interesting. But these beans sound so interesting given all the work youā€™ve done with research and the process of establishing what youā€™ve grown as the real deal.

What advice would you give to a new grower looking for an OG Kush with good project with good genetics?

Thanks for stopping by @3rd_i and glad to hear itā€™s a learning experience for ya

Tampa Crippy pre-dates Triangle Kush lines. I suppose they could be related in linage. Iā€™m going to need to down the line grow some TK and find out how it differs. Crippy is distinct, and Iā€™ve done mixing but its flavors cut through pronounced in a roll. I know when Iā€™m hitting it no matter how much Iā€™m using. I have a few pine tar Kush going now so I want to see how that relates once I sex them. As far as OG Kush Iā€™ve read True OG is part of a Krippy Kush line I have yet to get to. Seems to me the S FL OG does have a stronger relation to Crippy than I thought. I know Crippy has no limonene terpene, cause I know this terpene well In any strain I light up, and Iā€™m not a fan, even mixed in. So thereā€™s certain OGā€™s I wonā€™t try or like. First Iā€™ll say it depends on your preference of terpenes (flavors) and 2nd if itā€™s in this family tree of Crippy, go w the S FL OG. Iā€™m intending to rework more pinene strains, hopefully larger buds w reduced stretch between nodes, so if the PINE is your thing youā€™ll want to keep following along.

Cool to hear your observations on terpene differences that set TC and the other Florida OGs apart. I love pinene and the earthiness that comes with it. Limonene has its place but agree with you about OGs with significant Limonene profiles not being where itā€™s at.

I checked out Sunshine State on strainly. Is it the TC S3 you just grew out? Their ā€˜74 Gainesville Green S1 and Cuban Black Haze Bx1 both sound interesting.

@3rd_i Yes, thatā€™s the one, and youā€™re right about the profile, thatā€™s why Iā€™ve selected certain strains like pine tar and Xmas to work w. All his work is from that yesteryear era. I had the opportunity once to get a half of GG for 300. The whole bag was balls, peas and marble but that wasnā€™t a bag a forgot. I love it down to every piece of shake. Itā€™s yet another I need to revisitā€¦

Took five days to dry, And a little slower too. Even though small and thin, Iā€™m a little shocked at the dry weightā€¦ The side lighting obviously helped, but this is a record for a single plantā€¦80 grams. 4 grams shy of 3 oz

Good news about the yield @OriginalDankmaster96! Maybe itā€™s the lighting or trim hasnā€™t happened yet but buds look to have a dark green olive like color which is nice.
I reached out to Sunshine State yesterday about TCS3. Excited to grab it. Being a holiday weekend and all heā€™s prolly still catching up with emails. Grow diary for sure that you can follow.
Their Gainesville Green sounds incredible. Iā€™ve heard some good things about Panama Red lately but interesting GG also has got pure sativa genetics from the same place.

Yup. Thatā€™s the color. Itā€™s way more than what it appeared and dried too. I will say even though small, hard and solid. I keep testing my tolerance, and 2 blunts is too much. Soooo intense and soaring, leaves incredible munchies. Itā€™s kinda leaving me in this blabbering slurring state that makes laugh hearing itā€¦trust me, youā€™ll feel like youā€™re drunk at times. This is the one strain I canā€™t smoke heavy. True 1-2 hitter otherwise it will plaster and comatose. I do think earlier is more functional and focused, otherwise the later end is lights out more often than not. Iā€™ve got to be honest, I wouldnā€™t mind if Xmas leveled it out some in potency.

Yeah I had no idea what Gainesville green was until I read about it. Obviously an uber pheno PR, so not just any. I have some Ace Panama for later, but I imagine GG is the best of the best for the red. LOL youā€™re making me miss it already šŸ„²

I am just counting down the days before I start my Crippy run. Less than 3 weeks from now.

Iā€™m looking forward to seeing how your grow varies from mineā€¦ donā€™t you have GG too ? When you starting those btw ?

No I do not have any GG. The plan at first was just to see if the Crippy he has for sale was the real deal before I bought anything else from him. I will be starting my Crippy run once my autos in my main tent finish off. 3 of 4 plants are in week 11 and the other plant is in week 10, so yea 3 weeks I think sounds about right.

Ahh my badā€¦I thought you had mentioned it earlier in the project thread, but I guess that was wait and see first. Hmmm well if you want to do a run later , Iā€™d be willing to split the costā€¦ something to think over :wink:

I will keep that in mind but I know I have more seed runs planed that I do not have room for. After the Crippy run I am doing a NL #5 F5 run. Then there is the landrace run I want to do. I need a house lol.

Well just floating it out there, but if not, Iā€™ll leave this offer open for any OG member trust level 2 or above

I would not mind pitching in the cost for a run. Get a few more people in on this and the cost would be very little. Just need to find a grower.
