Tappy's Fuster Cluck - Veg., Flower, Soil, Hydro, Mixed Strains

I’m using my original 6 site tote I made for the purple diesel…gonna let the afghanis veg for 2-3 weeks and flip.

Doesn’t look too shit hot now, but if dwc has taught me anything, it’s that if the water is spot on, plants grow like “weeds”…lol.
I’m assuming they’ll triple in size in a few days.

Oh ok nice! So like a 17 gallon tote or so? That should be perfect for only a couple week veg
Bet they’ll be standing up by this time tomorrow, best of luck on those!
Can hit me up anytime if ya need anything ^^

You got any weed?..lol…jk.

I have a shotty recipe for pool shock, so I’m gonna do some preventative maintenance…that root rot last year was scary as ef. Outside temps have dropped to negatives during the night, so I figure I should be ok.

I cant deal with that +30 shit…give me fall and winter weather all day, all night.

My grow room always looks the same in pics…super excited to get the dwc going.
Unfortunately, no room for the orange goji and big yield auto…grow room expansion happening now.

Afghani x blue lights
She’s getting ready every day…I thought 2-3 weeks, but she’s looking ready by the end of the week. Crazy bitch…JOTI said both these strains were 7-8 weekers…this is the first time I’ve seen a 7 weeker, 12/12 from seed. Stinks of rotten blueberry jam.

And then there’s this mofo…a feminized cross I made that isn’t producing too well, but looks killer…

Man, if you weren’t in Canadia or I was up there I’d totally get you on some herb no problem!

Hopefully that poolshock works better for you than it did for me. Maybe I got the wrong one or a bad batch or something. I know that bleach works at the worst case though so you always got that to fall back on if the poolshock doesn’t work.

mmm rotten blueberry jam! That sounds so good. And she looks great, does look pretty close to done. I gotta get to poppin those one’s you sent me…

Has anyone noticed a difference in ph levels in summer and winter? I find my ph doesnt need anything in winter, but during summer the ph is +8…I’m referring to city tapwater.

Hard to remember if they were harder to clone than others because I had so many clippings that it worked out.
I actually shit down my clone bubbler and may get it going again this fall. I’m trying to set up on a different (isolated) area so I can maybe take some outdoor cuts that I can bring inside if I can quarantine and clean them. Still haven’t found any of that powder you recommended yet.

All my outdoors flopped…never saw so much of a hair bloom… Had the cops over twice and had to chop over fears my plant count would be found out…and I live 8 houses down from a school, so outdoor is not my friend.
I was shocked to see yours flower with 16’ish hours of sunlight…keeper!!!

That’s pretty interesting if your water if switching that hard between the seasons’. Makes me think you’re getting water from a well or aquifer, likely glacial melt or something

I have city water from a local lake so it basically never changes, always 8-9ph and ~150ppm. I need to remember to stay up on checking it though. Getting lazy with this water-only soil mix

I read something about the pipes being a bit warmer in the summer allowing minerals to dissolve off the pipes and in the winter the solidify on the pipes.

It’s city water. Heard stories of dumping massive amounts of chloramine during fall and winter…not sure why it would fluctuate so wildly.

This sounds about right…but I’m no expert…just calling it as I see it.

:fist: redneck clear rez is what I use too :joy:

It’s probably the same, although any claims of there being haze involved is rather dubious. Nothing hazey about these, and they finish in 8 weeks. More that likely they are of Hindu Kush descent from the 60s.

After a quick google search on the toilet at work I can confirm that it is the weather flip. The warmer months allow the lime to dissolve into the water. Lime Increases ph because it naturally contains calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate.

Well the real question is … why were the cops over twice?
Because if you recall after the cops came over twice I shut down cuz I was freaked to come home every night and didn’t need the stress.

First time they were looking for the guy who lived here before me, second time was a follow up regarding the beatdown I was given a month or 2 ago. So neither of the visits were negative, but still dont want them poking their snouts around my home.

Hey @Tappy, just got caught up on your thread going back to about July. Man you have a lot going on, I hope you’re feeling better after the fight. And like others have said, you need anything while working thru the drinking stuff, your OG fam is here for you bro.

Did you use a homemade bubbler/aero cloner to root those? If so, you mind losting a little info about the set up? I want to mess around w a little cloner myself, looking for ideas from others for inspiration.

How far north are you that youre already below freezing temps? I’m the opposite- I enjoy winter but an endless summer I’d totally get down with.

Hey Tap have you tried this. I was reading another thread and haven’t tried it but seems worth a try.

Here’s the exact quote:

Take cut then put into alcohol just like dip n gro. We fill up cup to 1.5" and soak about ten cuts at a time for twenty seconds. Then plug into rockwool. Rockwool should be pre soaked with double top secret food. And Roots Excelerator!

That’s the “protip” the big clone houses had kept on the DL for a long time about how they get such good success. Works great with pre-soaked cubes, but will work in any medium. Don’t use any rooting gel.

Basically it’s killing pathogens on the rooting surface so the plant doesn’t have to fight them at the same time it’s trying to create roots. There may be some hormonal triggers in there, too, but I dunno. It’s like dipping cuts in fresh aloe in terms of “sterilizing” the rooting surface, although aloe has some of the rooting hormones.

Here’s a few other tips from their various posts over the years:

Put a little bit of perlite in the bottom of the tray or your cups so the roots have something to grab onto when they grow out the bottom.

Temp 80F, no extra humidity - 40-50% is fine. No direct airflow.

If using rockwool, make sure to presoak the cubes with a diluted 1/4 strength nutrient solution and let them nearly dry out before giving any additional moisture. The 1/4strength presoak nutes keep them from doing the yellowing thing they usually do right before rooting in organic dirt or straight water environments.
