@Tappy what happend to the freakshow beans ? Did you send them and are there some extras left for a small donation
Heading to a funeral right away, but these are pretty much ready to go…just have to separate and make 10 equal packs of seeds. If you’re looking for a few seeds, I can send you some from my portion.
Sorry to hear that @Tappy… my condolences
If you like and want I’ve would appreciate it alot mr ! Been wanting them since the day you started the thread
Nice aork Tap. Everything looks lovely. I hope your feeling ok. Im trying fo get outa my rut. I just keep plugging away. Looks like you arent letting shit stand in your way either.
Be safe bud. Im always lurking dude. Feel free go hit me up whenever.
I usually used straight perlite for cloning…but I had used peat pellets for cloning the orange gojis, just so I could tell them apart. That was my mistake.
How far north are you that youre already below freezing temps
I’m in Winnipeg, we dont have negative temps consistantly, but had a couple nights where we went into the negatives.
I’m too cheap to buy a pack of the rockwool cubes…lol…wish there was a hydro store that sold then as singles…and also sold hydroton by the scoop.
Ready set grow has the best price for panda wrap…$1 for a 1’ x 10’ piece…so $30 for a 30’ x 10’…seems pretty good.
Thanks for that. It was for my gf’s cousin who I’ve never met, but going to all of these aboriginal get togethers is super cool…was never really exposed to true native traditions.
Yeah, man! We’re typical OG’ers…holding shit down even through the tough times…and lurking…lol…always with the lurking!..lol
3 x Sour mints x banana OG
3 x Strawberry Haze 1 x banana OG
All came up nicely and ready for action…gotta wait for a few plants to finish in the flower room before I move them in, so they may get 1-3 weeks of veg time…maybe it’ll increase yield?
Afghani dwc starting to throw roots…ph has already been a bitch to keep in check…got it in the 5.5-6 zone now, just have to watch it and keep it steady…added bleach as a preventative.
Afgani?!?! What a lucky guy! Can’t wait to see her grow out in dwc!
Orange goji (3 gallon) recovering from the ridiculously high ph watering I gave last week…starting to look a lot better, gonna throw’er into flower.
.
Lots of nice tops forming…
.
Flower room at the moment…
.
Tied some more arms of the orange goji down, cut off some of the ugly foliage and put her in flower.
How much bleach are you using? I’m considering using it instead of ClearRez moving forward…
Nice journal dude!
Stay Hazed
Jake
I used 15 drops in 2.5 gallons of water in the past with great success. This tote is a bit larger and contains roughly 5+ gallons of water…so I added 30 drops.
Still contemplating getting a premixed poolshock jug together for when I have to empty and refill the rez.
Hoping to see the 6 afghanis looking healthier and more growth (vegetation and roots) very soon.
Plant under the cup (left) seems to be struggling, so hoping some extra humidity will perk it back up. All the others are twisty and fucky because of the savage ph swings the first day or 2.
.
Yeah… roots still lookin pretty good, bit longer than yesterday.
I always did 0.2ml/gallon.
Is the ph swinging up or down?
I guess it wasnt so much swing, just getting it dialed in initially.
Tapwater comes out at around ph 8…I added a bunch of maxibloom which usually drops it like a rock…but it seemed to have raised it to ph +8…so I added some silica and that brought it down a bit…kept checking it every hour or so and was adding 10 drops of ph down until, finally, it was at 5.5-6…it’s holding steady at 6 or maybe just a touch below.
Edit…ppm is around 450
Edit ii…also raised my.lights this morning to about 30"…it was probably around 18" before.
Temps float between 18 at lights out to 22 lights on…humidity sits around 40% consistently.
Ah ok, I always thought silica raised ph but yeah the maxi stuff, gro and bloom both tank the ph.
I do know, if you’re gonna add Silica, you HAVE to add the Silica BEFORE anything else or you risk locking out all the nutes. Least that ArmourSI is like that.
PH should be static or slowly raising if everything is perfect.
Shit you’re right…my mistake…added maxibloom, ph was high…added silica, ph was highER…used ph down drops to bring it to 5.5-6…good catch.
Fuxk…and now after reading my silica instructions on the bottle for the millionth time, it does in fact say to add the silica first!!!
I’m off to a job interview soon, so I know what I’m doing this evening…emptying and refilling the rez. Will probably use the pool shock instead of the bleach.
Question: when rez if filled, will add silica, then maxibloom, then poolshock and adjust ph from there?
Frig…I’m wondering now if my soil plants sometimes look rough because of my adding silica to the water after everything else?
Edit…after reading the label for the 1,000,001 time, it does say I can add it to nutrient solutions after it’s mixed, just have to dilute it first.
Yeah… I’d still add it before adding the nutes, even for soil. It says you can add it after if you dilute it in water first and then add to the nute mix, but sounds like it can still cause lockout that way too so doing it first would be best.
yes this.
edit: Also an idea, get a similar sized tote and a small pond pump or two or something cheap with some tubing. Mixup all your nutes in the tote ahead of time and then just drop in the pump and run the tubing to fill up your res. can use it to easily drain them too.
Here’s some techno babble I found helpful on silica.

From above link…
Trained orange goji is looking pretty solid…its like a 1 pot sea of green…now I see why this is so popular…
.
Damn boi, that purple diesel is looking frosty. It’s one of my favorite strains. If grown right it can deliver some potent friggin chronic.
