I’m flowering in a tent with a light bar style LED for the first time-
I mounted the driver outside of the tent, and currently have 10" of headroom, measuring from the top of the light bar to the roof material of the tent.
I’d like to raise the light another 4"…
Question is, will 6" enough headroom space to be safe and worry free???
Probably. I skew to more paranoid and I’ve got fans and filters up there so 12” is about as high as I go.
I don’t remote my drivers though 
Should be if you keep the temps in check. I like to keep a fan pointed at my lights and they don’t get so hot that they are a concern.
You can use an IR thermometer to check surface temps on the lights, anything under 50C is ‘no worries’.
I draw air out of my tent at the top and haven’t had any temperature issues (my LED drivers are outside the tent too).
