Nothing wrong with them Iâm sure, especially because I was able to pull some decent herb for my very first run with them.
Just sayinâ they seem to be another company that tells you to overuse their product so you have to come buy more quicker. ![]()

Yeah. I feed veg throughout at lower doses. I have powered N just in case itâs needed. Last week was the first time I added that to my mix though. It sure did the trick though. lol
I was going to say i dont use bud boosters, but that would be kinda a lie. When i switch to flower, after week or two i start adding a bit of the Beastie Bloomz again, about half dosage. I use that until flush time.
I donât follow the bottle instructions, lol I just add 1oz of each to 5gal bucket. Works fine for us over all the years
Here you go MO:
At one time I didnât use flower nutes at all and my plants did fine because it was all in the soil anyway.
To clarify, I mean my very first run PERIOD. Not just my first run with their nutrients.
If I was able to limp to the finish line by using them, they must be good nutes. ![]()
Bookmarked to read with Eva later. ![]()
Exactly! Thatâs where the magic truly happens! Iâve always made my own composted & amended potting mix
Most of this stuff is bro science and marketing.
Do you have worms, Johnny? I find it to be a fun little side project to my grow, and I think worm tea is killer for feeding the soil itself rather than just the plants.
The soil is DEFINITELY where the magic happens, in my opinion.
Plus, I donât have to buy fishing bait if I donât want to. I still do, though, because once they go in the bucket, I donât have the heart to pull them back out. ![]()
Where did Terps go??
I do have & use worm castings. I toss 500 or so into my compost bin every year, in addition to buying a 25lb bag now n then.
Sorry I laid down for a bit⌠just got back up.
Sounds like youâre reading too much about hydro/inert media growing. Haha. Itâs going to be tough to crop steer a plant in soil and itâll also be tough to do with multiple seed plants. You have plenty of mentors, but Iâd focus on just keeping plants green, healthy, and getting ripe flowers where the hairs recede into the buds and your flower isnât covered in red/orange hairs after harvest. Once that becomes elementary for you, start messing around. Iâd wait until you have a mother or two youâre going to keep around for multiple runs to get into switching up ratios at certain stages and all of that. Best of luck!!
Nothing to be sorry for; hope you got some good rest! Did you mean that you buy a 25lb bag of worms, or castings?
When I need more than I have on hand from bottom of compost bin, I buy a 25lb bag of castings, lol
I buy 500 or so Red Wigglers every year, usually. They work hard keeping the compost going, lol Compost bin is a 4âx8âx4â(plywood & 2x4) box lined with the rubber sheeting they use to install shower pans in.
There are few outdoor activities I love more than digging for worms. Half the time I go digging for worms to fish with, I end up having more fun digging than fishing.
Maaaaan Iâm jealous of all you guys with land. I gotta see what I can do for a compost pile this season.
I knew a spot down on the Gasconade River that was a wonder. It was the perfect spot for monster earthworms.
A buddy and I used to go down there when we went out to fish. Weâd fiddle up more than we could EVER use in thirty trips. Weâd gather those up by the hundreds. Iâm not kidding. 100âs of them. Then weâd head right to a couple of bait and tackle shop I knew about to sell them and then head off to the lake to fish.
Now⌠who knows what I meant when I said âfiddleâ up some worms⌠No Googling.
