Definitely received and tested out the plants. I have some pics in my thread, and I think I posted some in here as they got ran outdoors this year. Loved the strain, in fact I vaped all the buds and only have the larf in the freezer to run through some bubble bags in the near future.

You’re right. Things happen in life and what not but when you agree to drop beans for someone and that person sends to you in thinking they will get to see a representation of your beans in their garden it’s a little off putting when they ghost you. I think it’s uncool and a very bad look on said individuals integrity. I have a list (though small) of people I will no longer send to.
This is why I give away so many beans now. I’ve had better luck with giving freely and letting people make the decision to run them on their own. I find more people run the beans I give out than the beans I sent out with expectations.
The pollen I was talking to you about from discord is pollen collected from F1’s of an open pollination run I did on the BBD’s.
I mean I can see just giving them away
But not for testers.
It’s a commitment to a lot.
We are after all doing imo real research.

I did to and that helped bring about a new lady cane cross because though the plant yields were astronomical, her taste needed help.

Testing Does
Yes having no stipulations and just letting anyone test is going to make it even less of a chance of getting the best feedback from experienced growers but you also get to let the plant experience all the mistakes that people who get the seeds down the line will probably make.
I’ve seen test releases of seeds that were not free, but it was understood that it was a test and that feedback would be appreciated (if not expected). The prices were less than stable/proven genetics.
In software terms, they release software to alpha testers. The software is buggier and not feature complete, but the testers are more technically capable and trusted. By the time a public beta is released (if ever), the software is pretty much feature complete and is done well enough so that it isn’t going to embarrass or otherwise create problems for the developer.
I don’t know how much of this applies to breeding plants, though I suspect that things like mold problems, germination problems and other things that a normal, busy with life grower might encounter will turn up here. Your alpha testers, because they know what they are doing, might fail to encounter fairly common shortcomings.

This is how are going my BBDs right now.
They are vegetting, and will remain that way almost two months more due to tents full flowering.
They are in one liter pots with cocoa coir. The rule on the back is 50cm
I’ve still got a few seeds left from the seeds you sent me. Once my small tent is free in a few weeks I’ll get them going. This thread won’t die don’t stress.
Good motivation weed for me, not good naptime weed for me.
