Texas shoreline cut

Full of The NED seed
Should be some super stanky potent pot.
The shoreline reminds me of some of the first released white widow. Zero sweetness and a potent long lasting High. Somewhat skunky but more on the sour side. Def robust in flavor and smell. The NED is an old school Colorado kind bud strain grown by the same boulder based hippie since the 70’s. Some serious stank here.
Closest I’ve seen to the skunk bud I grew in socal in the early to mid 80’s. Killer high that just keeps coming the more you partake. Tastes so good ya don’t want to put it down.

Bout a month out from take down.

Beautiful looking plant and very well grown. That shoreline is a classic that I’ve heard about being popular in Texas back in the day, but never experienced it myself up here in the PNW. You have done an amazing job growing her out!

there are two cuts of this.

Since about 2000, it was sold in its hometown 3 or 4 times when I got it and it would be around for a bit each time. It was not common and the last guy we knew running it got busted in 2015 or so.

There was one from a super long time ago, it was much skinnier, longer, foxtailed buds and was darker. I never saw the actual plant, but the buds resembled the pictures of cloney cut. It wasn’t as skunky as the other one and even had the faintest sweetness somewhere in the background.

Yours looks like the one I was getting in 2014 or so which was like a skunk in a bag. Round, Dense, bright green nugs with lots of frost. The hash from it was awesome. I think I actually liked the later one, but the first one was the best weed i had for about 10 years after that so it’s a fond memory.

where is the cut from?

I got it from a friend, not sure where he got it but was told it was from Texas. The one I have, as I have said, reminds me of some of the first white widows that came out. Sour, funky skunky in flavor. Much different than anything else on the market. Tasty and Nice and Stoney with a long lasting high. I’ve grown many of the elite clones and I would put this one up there with the best ones from the last 20 years.
I made some s1’s a couple years ago and gave them to a friend, he found a couple plants that he said were better than the mom. I don’t usually mess with s1’s more of a regular seed type grower/breeder as I believe bottlenecking the genetics isn’t the way to go unless it’s a last straw effort to save a particular strain.
The strain i bred this cut to this time is old school Colorado kind bud that’s been grown by the same hippie since the 70’s it’s the closest I’ve seen since the late 80’s early 90’s to the skunk bud I grew in socal in the 80’s.
The cross should have some super stanky tasty Stoney plants in them. I look foward to seeing what’s in them.

Shoreline x The NED – a tribute to cannabis heritage reimagined for today’s connoisseurs!

the legendary NED reflects the spirit of old-school Colorado cannabis, where it has been lovingly nurtured by the same Boulder hippie since the 1970s. With its roots firmly planted in history, Shoreline embodies the essence of cannabis before the era of cookie poly x poly x poly hybrids took over. expect an extremely robust flavor profile that dances on the palate—funky, earthy, and distinctly skunky. The high is mind-warping and long-lasting, transporting you back to a time when you ditched English class and met your friends for a joint or two, which usually meant blowing off the rest of the school day. Shoreline x The NED will remind you of what true Colorado kind bud feels and tastes like.

Ive got 2 packs of Crickets and Cicada -Shoreline x Puck BC2.

Ive had them refrigerated since I bought them, a couple years ago, and have never seen a grow, or smoke report on them. I know they only released it one time.

Ive also got 4 packs of the C&C Skunk x Puck BC2. I heard the Skunk C&C used possibly came from Wick Family Farms, but have heard conflicting stories.

Shoreline x Puck Bx2 sold out before I could get to any of the flower for myself if that helps.

We are hoping Katsu’s Heirloom S1 is that one. 79’ FLA Skunk sounds like what you are describing.

all Htown sold buds, but the OG may have been grown in CO. The original came from the guys selling the “Houston Chronicle”…the weekly dank. Their green crack was fantastic. I don’t recall ever having bud from FL, but there were other skunks out there. Theree was this cut/strain called the hard green that was grown by a NORML member here. I thought that might have had an FL origin. the death coast and dogwalker cuts are both pretty skunky, just ran them. Given its illusive nature and modern options, I am not sure the shoreline clone is worth tracking down. I wish I knew someone that had the cloney cut, or if someone would just post some solid pics/reports

Katsu’s 79 skunk isn’t skunk bud. I had the 79 skunk cut and it isn’t anything like skunk bud

I’m going to have to side with Katsu on this one

  • as a community, he would have been laughed / ridiculed for making something not even close. That has yet to happen. The general comment is that it is the closest to date, in the market, in seed form, of the Terps and effects of the original ( which has yet to come forth in over 20-30 years).

Splinter, there’s a member “grown at high altitude” who has grown the Cloney Shoreline and compared it to the other Shoreline cuts .
Shoreline was such an obscure strain, even in Houston. Everyone of course knows about it now, ten years ago I couldn’t give that cut away because it didn’t have name recognition.

Stoney Farms had a version that everyone has now it’s definitely not the same. Real deal was found in Galveston and stories about bagseed from a grateful Deadshow, originating from Corpus and the other heresay stories that people repeat are ridiculous .

If someone claims to have the real Shoreline from the original Houston grower, they would have a lot more than that one strain.
Sweet Tooth
Hash Plant
Jimi
Island Sweet Skunk
There’s specific cuts of these and others that the original group grew, so anyone connected to that group would know about the other cuts we dealt with.

Believe what you want. I met with Katsu at the beginning of the summer. Have known him 20 years. I told him then it wasn’t skunk bud.
It’s not on him it’s on the folks that sold us the original clone of 79 skunk.
It’s nothing like the skunk bud I grew in SoCal early to mid 80’s. Not that it’s not a pretty plant but it just doesn’t have the smell taste or high of the original. I was so disappointed I didn’t keep the cut that I spent 400 to a Acquire .

I had the original sweet skunk back in 06/08 that I got from ghost (of ghost og fame)
I also grew the original sweet tooth offerings from breeder Steve at spice of life. I was part of a trading club called the ssc (seed swap club) back when it was dangerous beyond words to send cuts and seed through the mail.
Breeder Steve joined the club and gave out a bunch of packs of his offerings when he came onboard. It was some really nice herb extremely tasty and potent.
My shoreline cut is what I was told it is from a reliable old friend. Real deal or not it’s excellent herb, better than 90% of the poly x poly x poly x poly cookies hybrids on the market today. Even ten years ago the herb tasted better and gave a better high than most of the garbage on the market today.

Back in the day people didn’t trade cuts and chase names like today so people popped seeds and you had local versions of white widow, sweet tooth etc .
The group with shoreline had around 30 strains. If anyone was getting the real shoreline they were getting the other strains also.
It’s not like the whole country had the same white widow in 2004 as an example.

Ounce was 400 and quarter $120 , it was all expertly grown. Hydro.

Growing on hydro tables under hps with your own selections vs the stuff that looks like it’s grown in a backyard or closet .
