Sour diesel #3 and Black lotus got the chop today and are hanging up in the 2x4 now! Definitely excited to try these out. I think I’m gonna see how the 8x4 looks Sunday and maybe harvest those then, and Billy breathes might still need a week, but we’re almost to the finish line!

Judging by the amount of frost I’m seeing in your photos, I’d concur. :+1:

You’ve got quite the green thumb! …Love the variety of plants you’re running too. It looks like your 20 gallon pots were more productive than your earth boxes this time around, which is only a little bit surprising. 20 gallons apiece is plenty of soil, but I thought the bottom watering effect from the earth boxes might give those plants an advantage. …But what do I know??? I’m relatively new to the hobby, and appreciate the opportunity to learn.

Thanks for documenting your progress. Great photography too!

Do you hang 'em just like that, or chop them up first?

Thank you man! The Billy breathes in the earthbox definitely blew up fast, this one just didn’t stretch a ton on me also, but the 20gallon pots always turn into a nice jungle for me! I think I like them better too cause it’s easier to manage a nutrient problem cause I think it’s kind of a pain to pull the covers up to top water things in if you don’t have enough topdress going on. Granted I probably shouldn’t known I’d need to top dress earlier and more often as big and fast as that plant grew lol. I might put my earthboxes outside for some tomatoes now we’ll see.

I think the other thing is that black lotus was a lot slower growing plant the whole time and I accidentally broke off the tops after I had topped it so it got stunted a bit too

I’ve always hung them whole, but things tend to dry out fast in my basement

I’ve only done whole plant as well; I gotta see how it goes with my new mushroom bucket dry tent, though. Might have to cut them up this time, since this new setup seems to stay right around 60% all on its own. The plants shedding moisture might make it a little too humid in there on top of the mushroom bucket moisture.

Blue oysters for cooking with, by the way. Nothing magical. :joy:

Oh that sounds interesting I’m curious to hear how that goes

My attempt at drying without a humidifier. I’ll keep everyone who’s interested posted on my grow journal thread. :innocent::v:

I was just checking it out now and saw the hangers in the corners that’s such a good idea haha, I’m gonna have to give that a shot! Might need two on. Each pole in the 8x4 though

Finally cut my clones back and just threw some cuts in cups of water in a lower light part for now cause I’m beat after work, and maybe Friday I’ll condense my rooted clones in one tray so I can get a dome on the other and get the cuts into some rooter plugs. Plus all my peppers except one lone banana pepper have sprouted now too!

I have some peppers going in my tent too LOL. Big Thais from Burpee, I think.

Oh nice! I love Thai peppers! We have 15 different kinds so I’m forgetting them all of the top of my head lol

I have some San Marzano tomatoes starting in my tent.

Love me some Zeppelin! We’ll probably start some tomatoes here in the next couple of weeks too, I wish I started my peppers a little earlier too, but we still have about a month before they’ll go outside into the beds.

Last day with the girls! Got a few bags of fresh frozen for a hash day here soon before it starts getting too hot. My buddy just bought a freeze dryer but doesn’t have anything ready to wash so I’m gonna wash mine and take it to his freeze dryer in a cooler or something to dry lol. @MG_Canna my #1 and 2 sours both looked like they had good potential for washing in the jar tests, I just forgot to take pictures of the jars lol, probably won’t wash anything from the #3 just cause it’s the smallest plant only being in a 5gal but it bet it would be similar

Last couple pictures of everyone too before the chop tomorrow

Time to go pull off some of the dead leaves now and make my life a little easier harvesting tomorrow :peace_symbol:

Plus a bonus almost dry Black Lotus lower branch I’m gonna see if I can roll up cause I can’t keep my hand outta the cookie jar

Well that Black Lotus was dryer than I was expecting already, so I might get it taken down, and chop the branches down into a tote for now and maybe I’ll have some time later today to trim some up! The sour that’s hanging with it still has some time to go, but I like the black lotus run a little long where it was almost starting to feel dried out when it was alive
