I originally wanted to start creating a freakshow autoflower outdoor variety but then i was gifted a Monster Hunter male (abc x Gorilla Glue). So I pollinated a couple of siberian ruderalis from khalifa, which i choose for their hardy seeds, cold tolerance and cbd content. And the fact that they have some purple going on. I like colours.
I ended up with 2 f1 females and 1 male i liked. The male was slightly faster growing than all the others…
The stem smelled of hubba bubba chewing gum when rubbed and the whole plant had a strong “old books” vanillin smell. I love the smell of old books in the evening.
All preflowers where pollinated with the male, for the rest i used the same abc pollen to get more abc expression in the bx f2 and not have to select one more generation indoor before putting them outdoors. The clock is ticking, summer is coming.
The resulting flowers where a bit higher in thc content then the ruderalis. But still very low. Which i like since i am old and cant smoke that psychosis inducing 20%+ shit anymore. The best thing: this stuff turned out to be a beautiful adhd medication. One joint in the evening switched off my constantly spinning head without getting me high. The second joint made me high, but not a bit uncomfortable and joint 3 and 4 made me go to sleep. This is how i like my medication. Unfortunately it did not have a good muscle relaxing effect. And the quality… lets say it was the sweetest and best smelling hay i ever tasted.
Getting the seeds to germinate was a moderate nightmare. I had to grind them down and on top i had to file the tips. Which may have been the most important.
And i had to dry cycle them 3-4 times before they did anything. I guess i have a combination of both ruderalis and abc germination troubles. Not a bad thing i think.
I ended up with 31 abc plants. Most of them bx f2. And one verified f2 male (the only verified f2 plant that expressed the abc morphology).
This patch will be their home for the next years. I want them to just drop the seeds so next year they will grow as soon as spring comes. All the seeds that dont drop on their own before harvest will be backup.
June 2.
June 17.
June 29.
In the beginning i was afraid the whole project might not go anywhere because they were growing sooo slow. But once outdoors they really picked up speed. I guess they just didn´t like the led lighting. Seen that before with land races.
But they did like those plant hats.
I really like the red stem phenos. Would be nice to have them all do that in the future. But unfortunately they seem to not grow as vigorous.
And i took some cuttings from the biggest 3 females (already in preflower) and the one f2 male. I will just add them to the patch to increase the amount of seeds from the ones i like best.
The best looking non-abc are pollinated and i will select abcs from them too and add them to the patch next year to broaden the gene-pool.
From now on selection will be done by removing all plants i dont like. I hope the seeds will survive winter and germinate at the right time. Seems like a big gamble, but i think it is necessary to achieve what i want.
Wish me luck. ![]()
