The Canadian Contingent (Part 1)

Nice! Love that spot, especially when the water level is super high. Have you explored the old farm back that way?

@sprinklememaynee No I haven’t! I had no idea, this was my first time going back there. Where is the old farm? My family owned tons of farm land around here and my great great grandfather built the original dam on long lake with stones horse and wagon lol

Edit…. phantom falls is a crazy spot if you like going to check out that kind of thing

Theres a cemetery with some old graves and the foundations that remain from a farm that used to be back there. Kinda cool! If you go from Old Sambro Road, there are a couple abandoned old cars too.

I have only walked around there once, never saw the waterfall, probably took a different trail, there are so many small ones branching off in different directions.

I’ve made mead a bunch, I usually make 7 gallons at a time though. I also use the same technique with cracked corn, then distill it into a very nice sipping whiskey that I age in American oak soaked in sherry!

If you take the main path on the right in, take the right side path at the fork. The path has boulders in front of it. Then just follow the path that looks like a rocky river bed. When you come to a river crossing with water pipes and valves sticking out turn left and follow the river down.

I remember the big rocks and water pipes with valves, I we turned around at that point as the dog was not very old and was getting tired, and the wife doesn’t trust my excellent sense of direction and thought we were getting lost not being on the main pathway lol.

That sense of direction wasn’t leading you to the Liquor Dome was it?

It’s new trucks, but as you have to pay taxes on second hand vehicles in NS, when registering it as the new owner, not sure about the rest of Canada, you might have to pay it out every time it’s sold and bought.

Beautiful pics of BC. I want to make it back out there again to live. Find it damn near impossible to find an affordable place to rent that allows dogs.:frowning: heh… one day!

Happy Easter everyone !

Man I hate those things. My dog doesn’t like their honking as they fly past. And they are mean mean mean.

On another note, this is how I feel about it:
