I dunno man, I feel like this list should be the other way around in terms of priorities, hahaha
(ok, weird, thatās the emoji that comes up when I type in āchokeā⦠A big, blue mushroom⦠Fun!
)
Speckle and Lake trout, Pickerel and perch, mostly.
We only have 2 lakes around where i live that trout fishing is allowed in the winter, but i try to go every year
You know whatās really important? Straws. A serious issue that needs immediate attention. Thank god someone is doing something about it.
I am not, sadly, a Canadian. But I did hitchhike one cold November through the prairie many, many moons ago. I flew like a bird from Vancouver to Calgary, and from there to Winnipeg. But that last 60 miles to the border of ND was a frostbitten rendition of āAgainst the Wind.ā And those 60 miles took about 16hrs (including the night) of hoping for a ride, as people in that stretch are notoriously un-Canadian (i.e. mean as fuck). Survived by sleeping in a drainage tunnel under the highway, that fortunately ran East/West (which makes sense as the road runs N/S). Not eaten by a bear, but harassed by the Canadian border police as I was walking to get to the US side.
Does that make me an Honorary Canadian?
Or just an even dumber American, for even attempting to hitch the prairie in November?!?!
Itās a start but you have to perform a ceremony where you pledge your undying allegiance to the Queen.
As an aside in the news there was just a story about a Manitoba politician suggesting that polar bears are a good way to control the homeless population. No joke.
But those same types of people are the ones killing off the polar bears. Gets to the root of how unsustainable that type of thinking isā¦
Does humping her corpse count?
I would say that makes you an honorary Canadian imo. ![]()
Iād never join any organization that would have someone like me as a member.
(please donāt be offended by the double entendre)
Thought i would share my experiences with a few canadian vendors as I always enjoy reading othersā experiences.
I have used Coastal Mary in the past and grew their Harlequin CBD a few times. Probably ran about 10 different seeds and the plants showed very little variation in terms of structure, smell and effects. They included a freebie the 2nd order if i remember correct.
Ordered once from Lucky13 as well, ran the Roadkill OG and got a couple half packs as freebies i havenāt ran yet. The Roadkill OG wasnāt my favorite but plants grew nice and healthy.
7east genetics. Ordered 5 seeds each of Death Breath, Tuna Breath and BB DragonFireBX2 and received 75 seeds altogether with an added Headstrong x Muang Sing pack. I am currently growing some of the two Breath strains and have grown some BB DragonFire previously. They often go on sale and offer a good discount for crypto as well.
Gooseseeds. Both times i ordered my order was processed within an hour and i had shipping info an hour after that. Freebie pack included both times as well. Bought Altitude Farmsā Daywrecker x Fatso BX and the plant i grew so far i very much enjoyed the effects of despite a long flowering window. I also got a bunch of Fennec Genetic packs from them for really cheap, some nice Golden Tiger repro work and others. They carry different breeders than I havent seen at other canadian seedbanks as well.
Barrie Grower. I got three different packs through Gibsonās Greenery back when that was a thing. I never found out what happened to that site, got a bunch of stuff i couldnt get elsewhere through it and one day it just vanished. That being said, plenty of grows on IG of Barrieās stuff, does direct sales through email as well.
Burkes Beans. I have not grown anything i received from there, purchased seeds for some promo a few years back and was really cheap, like 25$ for 4 packs. I have not followed much about this breeder but had a successful experience buying seeds off the site.
Chef Boyardee. He ran a giveaway years ago through reddit and i won a couple packs, his were some of the first seeds i grew. Heās on IG and some forums, good dude.
Compassion Club.biz This was my only time buying seeds through an online cannabis delivery website. Iāve used those for bud for over a decade but never bought seeds before. Someone reached out to me as they had Death Bubba crosses in seedform and i let curiosity get the best of me. Unfortunately, i should have just kept my money and acquired the actual cut. I very rarely have seeds not germ and most of what i popped from them never germinated. The only seed that made it through was a Death Bubba x Sour Diesel cross and though it grew vigorously with massive buds, it went complete full on hermie by the end, and i mean full on lol. The final flower was also trash to smoke, nothing like either parent. I always take it with a grain of salt when i read other pplās reports of hermies but the guy who had initially reached out to me about this place grew the same cross and got the same result. I wonāt be growing the remaining seeds and would not recommend them.
JOTI. I probably have 10 packs from them, over 3 different orders i think. Iāve grown some Black Garlic, Black Funk Dawg, Blackberry Mouth and Deep Purple and had some nice results from all packs. A lot of variation in the Deep Purple plants and the other 3 crosses i only ran one female.
I have my reservations about JOTI and i think there is enough info out there for ppl to make up their minds on them. That being said, my experience has been positive
Kropduster. Ordered some Black Tuna f3s and he included a pack of Cambodian Crasher. Been a few years and i havent ran anything but transaction was easy. I think this might have been through strainly but i believe he has a website as well.
Natural Born Smokers. I bought a bunch of stuff through Gibsonās as i mentioned earlier and freebies were always good. At one point he sent me a pack of Hashsaurus from NBS, which go for 200, as a freebie. I donāt believe in 200$ seed packs personally and their price point means nothing about the seeds themselves but iāve seen many successful grows of their strains. I am simply putting out there that this is another canadian breeder.
Next Generation seeds. I ordered their Island Sweet Skunk through The Cannabis Wonderland when that was operating. Iāve ran two plants, great tropical smell, very fragrant and a nice daytime kinda high. They have many offerings i am curious about.
Omuerta genetix. I am currently running their Thousand Oaks f2 that i purchased maybe 5 years ago or so. Came with a coupe freebies and was easy to deal with.
Research Garden. I won some beans on IG , i dont remember if they have a website as well.
Sacred Cut. This is my favorite canadian breeder, he is most known for the Frosted Fruit Cake. Iāve ran a bunch of his stuff and only have positive things to say about all of it. I used to get packs through Gibsonās but nowaday itās through the sacredcut discord or through email. Packs are often on sale on discord, often as low as 20$ a pack. If i have one breeder to recommend, from my personal experiences, this is it. There are gems in every line.
Scallywag seedco. Again, i purchased his seeds the first time through Gibsonās but since itās been through email or IG. Actually i havenāt purchased anything other than that first pack of Blood of Winnie i grew last year but he is most known for having a lengthy library of cuts. He is also retiring and is currently sharing his final offerings.
Swiipkiidon. I think he is one half of Coalition seed co if i remember correctly. I purchased some Heirloom Pineapple Thai BX F2 directly through him. I ended up doing a seed increase as i had a plant i believed was female turn out to be male and just said f it and let it pollinate the other two that were flowering along with the rest of the tent. That being said, transaction and communication were good but that does not always seem to be the case from his posting history.
Thumbprint Genetics. More seeds from Gibsons⦠i have like 6-7 different packs but they were all freebies. Iāve only grow a couple Shiatsu Kush f2ās and had one dud and one nice plant. Seems to work very closely with Lucky13 who i believe is his mentor.
Vandelay industries. He took down his website not too long ago unfortunately but still shares seeds through IG. Very generous with freebies and giveaways. I have grown some of his Death Bubba x Strawberry Sinmint Cookies and one plant is one of the best things iāve grown. I am currently running his Death Bubba x Koko Puffs and Tuna Kush x Ancient OG.
White Buffalo Seeds. They seem as well to have closed up shop but i think some of their beans are still on sale at some seedbank. Sativa connaisseurs, lots of Haze offerings⦠Ive only ran 3 females of the Jamaican Pineapple Skunk x Original Haze but very little variation between phenos, super vigorous plants. One of the only breeders iāve seen that actually worked their lines and if they sold anything untested, they would mention it on top of saying people are crazy for growing untested genetics. Real ogs.
Thatās it for Canadian vendors. Iāve also made successful orders from Ace seeds, GLG, Bay Area seeds, Dino Party Chucks, Greenpoint, Mephisto, Mr Nice, Night Owl, Real Gorilla Seeds, Sannies, Socal Seed Vault, Terp Fi3nd and others that i forget. A little mention for Connoisseur Genetics in the UK who reached out through icmag and offered to send me some packs. Good dude.
Itās that, or the King ![]()

Ouch!
And drats. Outmaneuvered me on that one.
They say those with a dark sense of humour are much more likely to have dimentia later on in life. If thatās the case, if itās a sliding scale - darker humour, worse dimentia - my Mrs is going to have sooooo much fun messing with me in a few years, I will be 100% gullible, and WILL believe Iām a super hero, Iām sure of it ![]()

She has ice cream too. A force to be reckoned with.
Hey Bub,
I may get some Nanda Devi seeds. How was the end result? Was the effect as unique and multidimensional as listed? The plant itself looks like it grows a bit lanky and fluffy by nature. As if it leans NLD sativa even though coming from a high elevation (lower Himalayas).
That bud photo RSC has on its site is what made me zoom in initially. Then some of the descriptions Iāve read.
