The Cannabichromene Thread (CBC strains)

My current interest is in CBC containing, or possibly high-CBC strains. I am interested in its medical use, because it has specific immune related effects that are not shared by THC or CBD (specifically, it affects T helper cell signaling pathways involving JAK and STAT.)

So… whatcha got?! I have seen minor amounts of CBC included on some COA’s, but I would very much benefit from growing something that is known to have a few % at least of CBC.

What are your experiences with CBC containing flower or products? Do you notice anything different or unique?

The THCv thread really took off, I hope that the rest of OG appreciates this one just as much if not more.

This thread has a copy paste of some information linking CBC to being effective against S. aureus bacteria. Another thread mentioned that high CBC strains have a noticeably oily quality to them - perhaps CBC serves as a disease preventative in the plant from bacterial issues, and the oilyness lets it spread? Contrast to CBG which often is powdery on the surface.

I thought I had received some ACE from someone, I’ll have to take a second look through the archives… (PS here is a post from me over two years ago sandbagging CBG - Most Underrated Cannabinoid - #8 by RatsboggleBiological - if CBC has these unique immune modulating effects and knocks out pain and inflammation like CBG, but wont make me feel nearly as nauseous and sick, I am SO in.)

Here are some actual academic papers that get into the weeds on CBC:

I think stoney branch still sells that godfather OG btw, albeit it may be testing differently now ofc.

For sure one of the best cbds I ever tried.

Latest COA from them shows around 2%, still higher than almost anything else I’ve seen.

Reported THC values of 35%+ of some strains from the same seed breeder that apparently provided those to Stoney Branch, seems a little… high. I would love to send some to my local lab for testing, maybe they could shed some light on the CBC content.

Yeah man , alot of these premium CBD companies switched too both THCA and CBD , which is pretty dope. Stoney, Flow Gardens, Preston Hemp CO, Wildflower hemp etc.

Standard tests dont quantify cbc and asking for it will not help.

The zcience will flag you as a terrorist lol

Theres some literature about protocols etc.
I was bold enough to diy a method and got sued.
