Looks like the big Oaxaca is a tall stretchy stem resin pheno😁. Excited to see one of these so big( for me) It’s about 4 and a 1/2 to 5 feet tall or so.
What are those little plants in cups? Hmmmm…
Suppose it’s worth it…Early rise …on the beach ,joint of whatever…and one rolled for later …Whaa was I in for a treat…I love palm trees as well as cannabis plants…some crackers on this beach.
Pura Vida aye @FattyRoots
Edit…and a Bamboo house…
Edit…$6 for entering the national park.
Lasts till 8 pm when the beach shuts…no food or restruants total natural…I’m ok wi that…the beach was spotless.
Hermosa lugar
Pura Vida maeee
Living in paradise!
Nice classic NLD/sativa there. I bet it’ll grab you by the belt and kick you in the ass.
Those pictures are what comes to mind when someone says “tropical paradise.”
Dude, I LOVE growing from seeds I get in brick weed. You never know what you’re going to get. I’ve seen indica expressions, sativa expression and even an autoflower once from the same bag. Brick weed can be a pheno-hunter’s wet dream.
It’s a good one, no doubt. Quite possible it’s my favorite tall stretchy phenotype. Looks more and more like it could be everyday. Fingers crossed!
Ok…I’m gonna have to clone these Oaxaca. They are not showing much sign if flowering and keep getting taller.
The second photo is my hand trying to reach the top of the tallest plant…I’m 5’8"
By the way the grasshoppers are picking on one plant jn particular and topped her, so I took the smaller.leaves and rolled then into a joint last night.
Three hits and I was cooking because of the chlorophyll of course but I had a hard body stone followed by creative dreamlike state that helped
me sleep…very nice high. No anxiety at all…which is remarkable considering they aren’t even flowering yet.
That’s a great sign the Grasshoppers are eating that plant. Mother Nature knows how to pick 'em like we do. Here on my property I have connoisseur slugs that often give me a clue as to which plants I should breed with. Going to be something awfully special if that leaf is getting you high!
I planted a Oaxaca plant in the ground last summer and I think I dug it up in mid September to bring it inside. It was just switching into flowering mode. The first 4-6 weeks of flower the plants spend in making secondary branches and stretching. The next 6-10 weeks( roughly) they make actual flowers and during the final weeks they ripen. In Mexico Oaxaca was known as Christmas bud because it wasn’t finished until Christmas.( I don’t know if they meant finished drying, or finished flowering )Good idea to bring those in for sure. Lot of extra work for you to get to a Oaxaca harvest this year but those old plants are going to give you some prime smoke for your effort! I was smoking some microwaved pot from one of my last Oaxaca plants that will be picked today. I had the most awesome head high. Very very floaty.
I do see the nodes coming in alternately now. The plants are flowering.
Ye it’s a great thread …one of the best on OG
And some great folks on here. With some great knowledge of the herb.
More like a social club LOL
Snowhigh Guerrero Green x Michoacán GPB. At least one or two bleed red sap when I break a leave which is pretty cool.
These are in one gallon grow bags and have barely shown sex outdoors. I took clones of all and will give these seed moms to a friend with bigger yard as I have a small patio. Hopefully I can run the clones outside in the patio and keep them manageable and below the railing with some training. It’s legal in my area but don’t want the neighbors getting nosey haha.
9/10 sprouted and it looks like 2 males and 7 females and the plan is to do open pollination.
This is my first grow of a mexican sativa and the plant sure is gorgeous.
Thanks everyone for all the info in this thread and @Upstate in particular i always find myself reading your threads and pulling some valuable info.
Thanks @Upstate
I cut some.clones and dipped them in hydrogen peroxide and then in Nem oil mix
I made sure everything was Uber clean
I also cut clones from my rom grapefruit moms
Yes they are alternate nodes now and stretching
It’s sounds like it may be December before they finish
I can stretch a tarps or plastic over in the worst nights but if we get a big snow that won’t work.
Very nice! Should be flowering soon. Keep us posted. I keep forgetting to check to see if any of the Sativas I grow are bleeders. Neat you found a couple.
If you stick a heater underneath the plastic the snow will melt off the top rather than build up. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that . Some of the earlier phenotypes could finish in early December . I left old silver sides outside last year and it survived 28° no problem. You do have a chance that they could finish for you. Glad you got some cuttings. You’ll definitely have enough time to see what phenotypes you are dealing with and to get more cuttings off your favorite plant should you wish to.
LabRat is growing outdoors at 60N, he’s got some skills in making that happen.
If the setup allows there’s other tricks like circulating warm(er) water through a garden hose coiled around the base of the plants (to keep the roots warm) etc.
Where there’s a will, there’s a way
Cheers

I can think of two and a possible 3rd instance where I have noted ladybugs favoring a certain plant to clean and it being a plant I thought enough of to want to keep. I firmly believe you are on to something there. OTOH I dunno about these slugs
Dig it. “Hey slug I’d like to get your opinion on something.”
