The Central American landrace and heirloom thread (Part 1)

@PineTarBastard Lol. Good chance. I just now saw that picture. A beauty! Any sampling yet? Some are best with no cure

Thanks. She’s rapidly defoliating, making my trimming work a little easier. When do you think i should harvest? Is she going to pack on more weight? Trichomes are still a mix of clear and cloudy in the big one.

Yup.in Central America there are faster plants. Guatemala/ Nicaragua seems to be the Southern limit of the fast plants. The 70 Colombian i have( thanks @HumblePie420) flowers 24-26 weeks. I agree with @Alta.Gama that 18 weeks is the low end flower time for purity for Colombian.

No sampling as of yet. I stopped vaping in August, as i am looking for work and will have to pee in a cup. I had some offers from out of state, but am trying to stay here so i can continue gardening/growing. Is it pathetic that growing means more to me than working?

I wouldn’t let it get rained on too hard. The closeup bud looks finished. Some never get amber. Clear/ cloudy resin up to 20 weeks or some non milky amber mixed in but not much.

Sorry for the delay. Looks like they are throwing new flowers now that seeds are done or nearly so. How long does your good weather hold?

Thanks man. I will let her tough it out for as long as I can. Good to know that they can survive some light frosts…my other plants, all from Vermontman seed stock, finished a month ago and are curing. Purple Satellite was done first week of September and some Purple Urkle x Nepali testers finished in mid September.

Right now it is still too wet to smoke really, but I will sample again today. Nice carroty, herbal kind of aroma and similar taste for the moment. Definitely rocket fuel though. I’ll try to snap some more pics later today of the remaining plant and the tray of drying buds which I just quick trimmed this morning.

evidence? you mena phylos? clustering with skunk or aghani? yeah, ive seen that onphylos, but does this mean every single short pheno in Mexico is magically like one of the “skunk clustering samples” ?

So, yeah, you have no real evidence of a seamless study that analyses atleast like 20 , 30 Samples rom the 70s. Thngs ot eradicated after that… So, i think you got Phylos with like 5 Mexican Samples.

If i just knew how commn elusive “short pure” mexicans were…
I also found a study lately about chinese Strains, they ound out that the wilder a Sample is the shorter it lowered, the more domesticated (domesticated Hemp) , the longer it flowered. The wild ones flowered 30 Days, im not shure if thats even possible, but, i can imagine in mexico if there were less domesticated versions that this could lead to fast flowering Time. without outcrossing.
its just a Theory no claim.

@QizmosNLD I think this is the one in reference but they are also sold out as well as the Gold version :frowning:

Sounds really nice! Curious if you feel any heaviness in the come down after the rocket fuel burns off?

Will have to test further and get back to you on that. So far so good though…

ChupaCobra is about 8 feet tall with a lot of skinny branches, octopus style structure. A lot of branches are sideways so buds are growing up.

Oaxacan #1 clone initially grown indoors back in February. Getting very droopy with the flowers putting on weight. A couple lower branches snapped from a storm last week. Smells are just starting to develop nicely, floral/lemon/citrus and some slight sweetness here and there. Flowers look chunky but are very fluffy and wispy.

Oaxacan #3 clone from February. I topped this one early which created two christmas trees. This one didn’t start flowering until two weeks after the other one from above. Flowers are smaller but still wispy. This one has a much stronger lemon smell which is really nice!
