The Central American landrace and heirloom thread (Part 1)

Double Panama red

Latest

Week 16 from Flip

It’s been a weird plant to grow, about four weeks ago it was showing signs of finishing, it keeps producing stigmas (little flowers) it looks terrible but it’s certainly still producing…( it reminds me of a plant cannabiogens Destroyer(last photo) I grew a few years ago it flowered like that for weeks…it was a 14 weeker.
I chopped the other one last week as it flowered different and finished early…I’ve had a few samplers and it’s way good.

The adolesentes are doing well (part 2)

I will flip at the weekend ,Thy will be 8 weeks then…

E very interesting plants these double Panama and I haven’t had any problems whats so ever…strong , vigorous, different phenos, 100% quick germination.

Hope all you guys on th freakers who get the seeds, enjoy growing them.

Thank you. I’m at 34N in the desert and these will be subjected to some pretty hot/dry weather for the most part.

I had a long term satie so the same thing to me

At 16 weeks she was producing new growth I chopped her ( this is along time ago I have a bit more experience but only a bit )
Looking back on this I think I should have adjusted the light schedule to better suited to saties

Like start at 12-12 and change periodically till I get to 10/14 this may have helped

I normally don’t grow Sativas but this year I’m gonna try a few so .I’m gonna be following a lot of you guys examples. I may call out for help from all of you Sativa growers ,wish me luck .

I’ve got a Panama and an Acapulco gold I’ve been holding onto for years so this will be interesting

Without a doubt that’s what this thread is about, I for one am here to help,
especially when it comes down to preservation.

I’m specially interested in Central American stains….So would be great to follow your Panama grow!

The ‘93 Allstar Mexican is finished. This is the f2 cross of two different Mexican bag seeds lines that were frozen since ‘98. It is pretty strong stuff, with an up high. It can be a little racy and anxiety inducing in larger amounts. Finished with a kind of fruity pine smell. Temps at night in the mid 60’s was enough to induce purple colors.

It is really classic Pretendica. A strain for the short season in Mexico. Short little plant that finishes in 60 days but keeps the sativa high and bud structure. Has a fruity pine smell. Not bad stuff. I think it will really shine in crosses.

Som where are you at buddy? Thanks again and I hope you get to see this.

Good job buddy! You’ve done a great job growing these. Sounds like they are finishing pretty damn close to the 15 week flowering time I experienced, though some Sativas keep going and going with thin towers of buds going off the main buds like dreads, called Foxtails. The plant pictured is still going strong.
Looks like the clones will yield much better for you with their bushy growth. They should flower a bit faster too.
How are the seeds coming along?

The longer flowering plants will flower until (late?)November, maybe later. They can handle cold, even frost. Probably stunt them, but wouldn’t kill them. Had 2 of them out to experiment. I felt guilty and brought one in after a 28 degree night, the other finally succumbed in the low 20’s/ upper teens.

Good to have you here buddy. That’s a nice spread of buds right there😁! Do you have a favorite? A year cure. That’s great. Some tasty stuff I bet! Which is the most potent?

:sweat_smile::joy: holy shit! When did they get so tall? Might have to turn them into arches, or fold them and support the top for awhile. The tall Oaxaca really turn into wild bushes. Snip any inner shoots early for better yield. I like them unruly lol.

I like the way you squeezed out a few extra inches of height with the 2x4…
Is that beast showing signs of slowing down the growth rate?

How much veg time did it get?
