The Central American landrace and heirloom thread (Part 2)

She’ll finish without them, but the fading sun and seeds are lengthening the flowering time I think. Hopefully you get 2 more weeks

My Kanak Balochistan and Kanak Maple leaf made it through a bitter cold rainy night. Got down to 28 last night. Zero bud damage. It’s gonna hit 20 tonight. My buddy said he had ice this morning all over everything who lives near me. I fell asleep and missed the ice.

Single bud is the female tester Kanak Balochistan. I have clones of both the male and female Kanak Balochistan.
The other is Kanak Maple Leaf, the 2 pics are what I left at 33 degrees in rain.

I’m working on the F2 generations and testing F1s of that cross.
I saw growth happening in the low 30s. I didn’t want to cut it last night it was growing so good.

I don’t see any bud damage from cold on either Kanak Balochistan plants. I’ll let you know the results of 20 tonight. :100::dove:

Screenshots from the video I made
Wish we could drop videos here. Wonder what the cost a year would be for that feature?

This is my first real, Central American “OG Oaxacan”. Proud to Post this here Gang

Some aggressive training found her horizontal, and her branches are responding as planned; day 1 of week 6 in flower now.

There were a few Males in the tent, and each was escorted out asap… but I’m looking at some “Large Calyx” on the OX or I have some seeds happening.

Can anybody weigh in on these colas?

Only seeded a few branches on her.
Here’s my Oaxacan clone that hasn’t been pollenated but is starting to foxtail.

I got some purps! Ancestral hash plant clone

Oaxacan string of pearls with a whole new set of white pistils!

Geez like ten minutes to load these pics :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

I think the branch spacing is exceptional and tight. Those seed pods look like you could house monster seeds in there too. Lol

Great Sativa Ox. I crossed Ox to Red Devil, did a small F2 run this year, I’m gonna send some out soon and (Washington Skunk x Uncle Festers SK 18) x Red Devil seeds to the people on the thread I made here. Crazy looking seeds those are.

I’ve got an idea … let’s all buy a big building somewhere on 40 or more acres, and grow together , who’s down for it?? :joy::rofl::joy:

 I can drop 100 K  lol

The crazy thing about that statement is that nobody has created a community ganja garden, yet. I am surprised, but then I’m not considering how fast greedy mfkrs mess things up. Perhaps a club of vetted growers in the same space.

I haven’t shown pics of pollenated flowers in a while so if you all are seeing them then fuq me.

This idea is romantic I agree. Human behavior almost guarantees it will go south sadly. There are several of us on my block that grow and we each have our own particular interests. We watch each other’s property and get together through the year. They thought I was a weird old man behind on the times because I grow difficult things. Then they smoked some of those things and it blew their minds. LOL

And as much joy as we have gotten from that it still took years for us to connect after we knew each other grew. The best vetting is done in person looking each other in the eye. I’ve been on here for a few years now and have seen a lot of bs happen, like it does out here in the world yes but relative anonymity allows for snakes. The one that bites you is the one you don’t see. The very first group buy I participated in was stiffed by a member. For no real reason and it apparently came to nothing for the thief. I can’t help but think if that individual knew he was identified he wouldn’t have done so. Of course it would be nicer if we could expect some degree of ethical behavior in each other from basic human respect but where does that happen? LOL

This is why we can’t have nice things. LOL

I would love to see some sort of Landrace Collective emerge. Part of me would love to form a landrace institute to properly preserve all these lines and make it accessible at affordable rates.

You bring up a really good point about vetting in person.

In my experience, finding people with integrity in this society is like bobbing for needles in a haystack

The tricky part about that is most people are fair-weather friends or associates, in other words you don’t really discover what a person is made of until various adverse events happen or they are presented with a choice that screws you/enriches them.

I suppose i’m jaded b.c of past experience.

That’s a crazy string of pearls. The Oaxaca PS line is full of plants like this one. Some epic smells and tastes. What’s this one smell like?

Oaxaca Peshawar ( most likely). Cuttings taken. Tonight they’ll likely die😪 At 12 feet I can’t get them in my room, and obviously if I could, I’d fit nothing else in there.
Something special gets germinated soon…
