A volunteer came up where the Oaxaca was growing last summer. I made a few seeds with the male I had. I havenā€™t decided what to do with it yet. I promised myself I wouldnā€™t grow another sativa in the ground.

Let it grooooooow. Ignore it like the weed it is and see what it does. Lol

Just keep something sharp handy

I can see how it might be a pita if you keep your hose there.

Dig it up and take it in or transplant it to a 5 gal pail leave it out.

Well you didnā€™t plant it it grew itself. So really itā€™s like grass just doing its own thing. Weird logic I know but if you try hard enough you can almost justify anything.. Plants are looking good!

Update on @Hyp3 Zacatecas

Two lovely plants. The short one is definitely a male unfortunately. I had hoped it was female. The tall one has amazing vigor, but based off its growth structure I think it is probably a male too. I am not sure if I will get a female to try unfortunately. I still have another half dozen or so to pop, so fingers crossed. Not sure when I will get around to that.

Would any of these landrace strains grow in an outdoor Michigan season?

With light deprivation etc. Iā€™m sure some of the more Afghani lsndraces should definitely be doable @Bobgrows

Ye ā€¦well pleasedā€¦one of my recent grows I got three males out of fourā€¦so it all seems to work out.

That male more than doubled in size in two weeksā€¦I could see it dailyā€¦incredibleā€¦

The smallest female, real stocky showing plenty bud sites is a fav so far ā€¦but love all them females.

Ye so far so goodā€¦with the x you and upstate have done ā€¦they look exellent, all germed ā€¦have grown without nutes just Compost tea and a couple of fruit drinksā€¦

Ye well done.

Not totally outdoors no. I start some things indoors in March-April to put out in June. Light dep starting in July. Thatā€™s without a greenhouse. Iā€™m hoping the new enclosure will keep things warm enough to go into November this year.

Iā€™m in Michigan too btw

There are no ticks at my house. One of the few benefits of getting frozen for 8 months of the year, lol. Maybe I should get some guinea hens for work. Cryptic Oaxaca show sex week 5.untopped.( right on @Greenfingers) iā€™ve started topping some satties at the 4th node for height control, but I have room for males, and I donā€™t kill them. I would follow Greandalā€™s advice and wait for the plants to show sex If you are eliminating males.

Always keep mother natureā€™s giftsšŸ˜
@Panamajock looks like 3xā€™s stretch. They really shot up!
@Bobgrows When is the end of your season? Kashmir will finish by mid October, Afghani or Pakistani you will have to hunt fast plants. Late October to mid or even late November finish at our latitude generally speaking, but people find earlier plants.
Lebanese and morroccan finish. Started late April, morroccan finishes late august/ early September. Lebanese early October. Iā€™ve heard of earlier.
Uzbek will finish. Maybe some Turkish.
Thatā€™s about it. Iā€™ve grown all the above except Uzbek.
Happy to be catching up on the thread.
