The Dwarf of Damascus

On the left with a duct tape roll for reference is the stem of a durban from my last run - in total it was over 11 feet, that stem was after I lopped 3 feet of “cola” that was smashed into the lights.

This grow’s smallest dwarf was 11 inches. Quite a change up! Pictured on the right. It’s wild because it has normal “indica” plant structure - main cola with extending branches on the lower half.

The last pic I’m just trying to give an idea of how much resin these plants pumped out, that guy is a staggering ~14 inches tall.

Trimming is a breeze. I still have the plant the one straggler to go, but the rest are trimmed. These shots are from the dwarf expression that I had. It was definitely my favorite of the ones that I grew. Yield was very favorable compared to the slightly bigger plants, due to it’s nearly zero node spacing. Seed yields were also good – which has become somewhat important to me because of the low hit rate of dwarf expressions.

Buds had a great shape and density, with copious resin. Leaf foliage was dark, and the buds have nice smells. They’re difficult to place, but I think leather, pine and lemon is a pretty good description.

Between me and @8k_feet, that makes 4 dwarf moms to draw seeds from for next round – this plant and a previous dwarf from my plants, and the two that he found.

I’d like to see the rates start improving above 25%, so I may try to get some plants reversed to have some fem pollen ready to put down onto as many dwarf females as possible. Assuming that process lands us at 100% dwarf females, I’ll start testing the inheritance with some outcrosses.

I accidentally took more than intended here, but makes a nice picture. Some on the end won’t ripen. This is pretty similar to Jaune Flamme, except that the fruits are more red. Jaune Flamme is closer to the one in the second row, but brighter and without the green shoulders.

In these f2s I have everything from yellow to almost brown. Some of the tomatoes are not very good — in fact at least half or more are not very good. Only a couple are at least as good as the f1 for flavor so far. I don’t think I’ve sampled them all yet.

Did you keep any clones of the ones you harvested?

I’m real interested in that bubblegum as bubblegum isn’t a naturally occurring flavor…it means that somewhere along the way it was crossed to Indiana bubblegum…(IB seeds were shipped worldwide when they were first produced…)
