A hunt of 8 NL5 plants from The Green Stash (Green Stash Seeds on Strainly).
Ran a pack a number of years ago and found an incredible ‘frosty pheno’ the pictures Green Stash uses on his Strainly page.
This pheno my wife said “It’s like Amsterdam again” (well she is Dutch) and it was the strongest thing I’ve grown to date, a grounded euphoric giggle pheno, truly superb.
I crossed it to a Guerilla Fumé male before losing her so I’m on the hunt again.
We traded and I purchased a load of NL5 seeds. These have nothing to do with Neville’s NL5, or the original cut. GS says on Strainly;
“While the lore behind Northern lights for some is shrouded in debate, ours is short and sweet. Preserved from Camano Island Washington, said to be directly from the indian himself.”
Ryan of GS is good people and I know he has had this line since the late 90s.
Lets all be nice please. I’m growing this medicine for a close friend with a brain tumour and another with PTSD, in an illegal country, in a tiny loft with a 2x2 and a 2x4 (needs must).
I cannot keep pictures locally so I’m using OG to log this important (to me) search. If this thread turns into a political sh*t show like the last NL5 thread, it will be really disapointing.
This is a fascinating plant and a fascinating NL5 line, lots of variation, the odd mutant and the pheno I had had the strongest grapefruit terps.
It was mentioned breeder Steve found grapefruit in an old NL line, maybe this is similar.
I know NL5 seed lines are viewed with scepticism but again, lets be nice and explore these together.
Enough waffle, here they are so far;
A thinner leaf pheno (I’m after thin leaf phenos);
Some double serrations;
And a lovely mutant that couldn’t decide which leaves to put leaflets on!
Tagging those that might be interested;
