Flipping through some old High Times, I just stumbled upon a cool article about hash making in the mountains of Oaxaca (High Times, Feb. 1977):

What @drgreensleeves said my friend their is a lot around but people have abused the generousity. Hang out, share a few pics, ask questions and build trust you’ll end up with more seeds than everyone on you block could grow in a life time! TRUE STORY! I had 3 seeds when I joined now I have 4 shoeboxes packed and can’t give them away fast enough. There is a few giveaway threads but the landrace/heirloom those usually come to you from trust. Some cool Oaxacan grows on here check them out.
@asgard what landrace/heirloom strains have you grown if any? Would you care to share a pic or 2 if you have them? That’s a start my friend good luck and happy growing.

Also there is a landrace/heirloom trading thread if you have some to trade just fyi.

You had issues with Oaxaca ??

…from colorado sativas?

Pearl stem, Boel Oaxaca, 79 Oaxaca

These just dropped

you could not have possibly grown them yet???

…you dont want to give this guys @Asgard seeds

yeah, nice first post @Asgard …asking for seeds!!! LOL

…this is why you get flamed on here

However, you guys also smack down the simple suggestion where he can find seeds

Just give the guy a pack of seeds already!!!

…or let him buy them on the cheap

Every seed is a gamble

@drgreensleeves got problems with colorado sativas…?

Oaxaca…You never grew the plants in question :sunglasses:

Even people of “Trust” are selling what they get in co-op and elsewhere

Its price of doing business…They need to called out as we see them

Come on dude …cant throw shade on guy like Gerry

no way

Full stop.

I guess if youre out there doing good deeds you better watch your back

It’s True. :sunglasses:

No I don’t

I meant Gerry

No his mullum

Then give him a pack ain’t nobody stopping you bro

This was not my intention and my experience is from 4-5 ish years ago and he probably has better practices by now idk

mullum is Mullumbimby Austrailia

It’s Thai ! :sunglasses:

I think that answers the question on hermis

…we want to support this guy I can see you do as well

That’s great! :sunglasses:

Its easy to pick-up on the negatives when they happen and they stick around longer…

Just human nature

Giving out seeds is part of overgrow and people take em and turn em around sell em…fuckers

…cant let the fact people can turn these seeds around somewhere stop us

They will get grown

Overgrow

Overgrowing the world is our business

:sunglasses:No regerts!

But it doesn’t answer the question of why they were shaped like a leb  ps but this was the older seed stock like I said it’s been a few years and practices could have changed like I said before

Only issue I had with Colorado Sativas was when he was selling F2s of VermontMan’s Mountain Gold for slightly less than the original. It’s not like this is a rare discontinued strain that you’re preserving, the originals are still for sale. It just made it look like he was trying to undercut another breeder. I know that’s not the norm from Colorado Sativas, but I was a little disappointed by it. I’m not hating on anyone for ordering from them, though. Selection and prices are awesome. Not a lot of people doing this type of work in the seed business, wish there were more.

Yeah, hes doin’ the best he can

The high elevation probably helps them finish…what it does to a Thai who knows! :sunglasses:

He’s gettin’ it done outdoor…Thats really less likely to be problematic

Mtn Gold…Buy the originals

colorado sativas aka Gerry…He started that Mtn Gold @ a time when those were gone…And we convinced Green Mtn aka vermontman to keep making them

Its still a “limited edition” but I hope he keeps them going…was rare and discontinued for a minute

Hopefully he keeps making them…Hope he will release the Oaxacan Gold in regs

Its good

colorado sativas is just like you and me…He’s just going the extra mile

God Bless the guy for the catalog he keeps putting out there

Well all that being said :face_with_monocle::thinking: I sure hope I can get y’all’s support like that once I get the money so I can afford to be a OG sponsor because it’s the only thing holding me back I got 6 lines so far (with another 5 more on the way bred with love and intent from landrace  and a line of inputs, ferments, growth stimulaters and probiotics all natural small batch hand crafted, I had a couple threads made but they got “froze” due to “commercial activity” :flushed::grin::thinking: I was just cataloging everything I didn’t have no prices or nothing up idk but you know what the cat said when he got his tail cut off? …
It won’t be long now!:joy::rofl::joy:

I never once said anything bad about Colorado sativas. I like everyone else was kindly suggesting that he becomes a little active because of the seed vultures out there. I believe patience was brought up. Im not worried about people reselling just being greedy bastards. It’s happened many times on here no naming the names again so people are practicing a little caution. Hey I got an idea you send the first time poster a bunch of seeds then you can sit on your high horse and say how much better you are. It’s like you are trying to agitate people who where giving polite informative responses. People talking trash about a breeder they haven’t grown from I understand the gripe but otherwise it’s been very civil.

My statement about landrace sativas in general can just keep throwing pistils I didn’t mention his gear herming. Have a morrocan Belida over 9wks was read to harvest but every mature calyax has thrown new pistils everywhere. It happens. Smoke a joint or something please dang man.

They still get some light if its indirect or shaded , I shade mine 30% in the summer now gets to hot

They do, but don’t grow as fast in the shade. An extra 2-3 hours makes a lot of difference. :man_shrugging:

To add to it the buds will also get “airy” or stretched out in less than 6hrs direct sun i have grown I situations like this before and have cut down a few trees due to it :grin: but it’s not a bad product just less dense resin production is still there terpene production still there :face_with_monocle::thinking: personally I prefer more light :grin::+1:
