Anybody here ever use the Alaskan Fish Fertilizer? That’s what everybody used in the late 70’s. It’s still around, too, and found about everywhere. I always had good results with it. Not sure if it’s full organic but definitely made from fish and fish parts. I couldn’t use it where I live now, lol. The bears would dig the plants up for sure. That stuff really stinks but works well. Not sure if they sell a bloom version or not. I haven’t used it in a long time.

No, but I have used Neptunes Harvest, they throw in kelp and humic acid into the blend also. Good stuff.

Also they don’t use heat to process

I’ve used it, but have heard of one farm failing heavy metal testing on the flower because of it.

Yeah, I can’t remember a lot about the details of it. Only that all of the hippies were recommending it, lol. I did my time with MG, too, up till about 7-8 years ago.

I’m letting a volunteer plant grow right outside my back door. It came up all by itself in one of the driest, hardest, clay dirt spot in my yard. So, I stacked rocks around it to keep from walking on it, and gonna let it go all on its on.

I want to show that we all probably spend more on nutes than we ever need to, by not watering it or feeding this one. I have some friends in town that had one pop up from dumping the ash tray over the deck. They decided to just watch it and do nothing. It became a 5 foot Christmas tree and loaded with large buds. after all of that, it froze before they before they harvested it.

I met a guy over at the lake recently that grew up here. He swears by putting his seeds out in March (2 months before the last frost), and doesn’t touch them. After watching this one at my house come up and take at least a few nights below freezing, I want to explore his method. I did cover it one night with a cut off gatorade bottle just because I wanted to let it go. But I never covered it again. I wonder if the seed, surviving in a freezing environment all winter, gives it some protection from late frosts because of it.

I think I’m gonna try that for next year. Just put the seeds in the ground in late fall and see what happens. Hey, all of the other plants seem to be able to do it, heh. peace

I think I may have heard that as well. There was something that kept me from using it anymore. I wonder if they still use the same methods of past production, today?

There are lots of better products IMO. Neptune’s Harves for example, but it is nice to have a product that you can pick up at the local hardware store. I’m giving this product a try now.

They sell it at home depot. I was thinking about grabbing a bottle since I’m out of fish emulsion and its only like $18. It had really high N if I remember right. I’m going there in a bit, I’ll take a pic.

That is seriously frosty.

Some people on social media think MG has PGRs, which it doesn’t. The worst are the ones who grow indoors, while giving themselves airs for all organic soil and nutes. I’m sure you can understand why it’s hard to take seriously anyone who grows indoors, under artificial lights and in a completely artificial environment, yet virtue signals about being “all natural.”

I have used the Alaskan brand Morbloom product. It’s fish based, but very tilted towards flowering plants it’s NPK is 0-10-10. Also very acidic. One thing I liked using it for was when I watered my soil plants with my tap water that is 7.8ish pH. I’d use the Morbloom to pH the water down to 6.0.
