The NED old school Colorado kind bud

The NED super stank pheno!
There are serious skunk bud plants in these old Colorado heirlooms. Grown and reproduced by the same boulder based hippie since the 70’s
Said to be one of the building blocks of the famous p-bud!

She’s gorgeous no doubt but absolutely not a skunk, even less a vintage one.

You can’t tell from a picture if something is skunk or not! Proof is in the end product not some vision of what you think a skunk should or shouldn’t look like :joy:! That being said, I grew skunk bud back in the early to mid 80’s in socal. Hadn’t seen anything that was even in the same league since the early 90’s until I got these seed lots from a friend. Spent thousands of dollars and waisted time and space on things people said were skunk and all turned out to be hyped bullshit with zero ok skunk bud qualities.
The NED isn’t t exactly what I had in the 80’s but we def would have called this weed skunk bud then. Say what you want but I was there and grew the real deal not some hyped sk1 that was never really skunk. Not every pheno in this line are extreme skunk but they are in there.

The NED must be referring to Nederland right?

I can, with skunks even more than with any other genotype. And it make me cry more each year since a decade now that it’s looking esoteric or a kind of magic spell.

We have our big differences with madjag and a very different perspective on how should be the scene. But he’s showing you in this post what is a skunk.

I’m starting to be really pissed by this plague of “new old farts” that are pushing hard, in trying to destroy our culture. I’m even a lot more pissed the hell to have to show to an american how is looking a skunk, it’s downright unbearable.

Madjag grew sk 1
Not old American skunk bud!
There is zero evidence you can tell what a plant will taste or smell like from a picture.
If you are saying this isn’t old sk1 you are correct. This has never been outbred to anything since the 1970’s and is no relation to sk1 or anything Sam the skunk man had or grew! This is heirloom cannabis held tightly by a man that knew what he had and didn’t want someone fucking up the genetics with one on one breeding or breeding it to durchified genetics. Be pissed all you want, that only hurts you, I could care less honestly. I would put this variety up against anything that is called skunk and The NED would shock the Fck out of who ever judged the comparison

Yes it is the Nederland indica.

I would have to say old afghani lines from way back. There were many old varieties we called skunk bud. One thing they all had in common was the ability to stink through three or four ziplock baggies. Some of the Mexican sativas were skunk as well and narrow leaf cultivars. One I have some experience with is “copper canyon”. Only one or two out of 50 carry that stank though the rest while excellent herb smell more like a ripening green chilli.
What ever The NED is, it def has the qualities of old skunk bud. Extreme smell and flavor matched with an outrageous high!

True but the landraces I’ve seen and fooled with they are separate one region has skunk fruit and the other is skunk astringent bitter rind. They are different lines entirely my friend

Anyone who hat tried the old heirloom skunk bud would NOT have bred the stank out of it. It was awesome herb. Sam may have smoked real skunk bud back in the day but what he called sk1 wasn’t skunk bud

People have been claiming they have the real skunk for decades. I haven’t seen nor smelled skunk since the 90s. Skunk is dead and gone. If someone had something that actually smelled like a skunk then they would be the new kind of herb.

Pretty sure he sourced his shit from the Mother Earth communes and Did his work with those in the beginning for Sacred Seed Coi could be wrong though i heard it from the grapevine.Ive seen many Skunks and Not just his. That name was used Synonymously with a lot of different local herbs at the time.Anything that smelled strong was called skunk.I wouldnt be so sure as to say what the “Real Deal” Skunk was the whole RKS thing is another one yikes. Its like trying to find the Real Catpiss.Tons of people were doing the same thing and naming pissy hazes that were going around too.

I use to get Mexican brick in the late 90s sometimes it was very skunky odor. I also remember the old timers that would talk about the cat piss. I smoked some with them. It seemed to me any herb that smelled like skunk was skunk and anything pissy was the cat piss. I was more ignorant then and didn’t think about herb as cultivars. Herb was just labeled how it smelled our how it was grown. Seemed like simple times in a simple place where I grew up.
