Making my first seeds on an open pollinated The One x Blue Moon Rocks Bx4 by Swami Organic Seed. I’m in week 5 of flower and was wondering if this is an 8-9 week plant, how long before I can harvest seeds, do I wait the full 8-9?
Did the male pollination happen?
Figure 4-6 weeks after this occurs.
I find it’s faster with light pollination and takes longer with heavy pollination
Happed around week 3. Definitely a heavy pollination with 4 males.
@Beep I’m excited to see how your run turns out. Should produce some fiya
with that cross ![]()
I am here for the show
Well I did a shitty job keeping up with this thread and now I’ve got some seeds. About to do a germ test. Anyone interested in trading?

Got any pictures of the plants? Smells, description, did you smoke it? Get alot of seeds?
How did it turn out?
Might be… more info? would be helpful. Interesting genetics.
Okay, so this is my first seed run. I’ve got a 2x4 tent in my garage. The seeds I started with had been sitting in my freezer since 2022, so I figured I’d do my first run with them. I started off with 15 seeds, and all of them popped. From there, I transferred them into Fox Farm Ocean Forest, and after a little time, I ended up with 3 males and 3 females. Every plant was incredibly uniform, and it was very hard for me to select what I wanted to keep. I wanted to keep them all, but I just didn’t have the room. The plants had large leaves and were in incredible shape.
After flipping to flower, I did a 50/50 mix of Fox Farm Ocean Forest and Strawberry Fields. Not sure if this was the right move, but the plants seemed happy, and I wanted to make sure I had some nitrogen in the mix. I did use Canna when I felt the plants needed a little boost. Right around week 3, the males started dropping some pollen, and around week 5, it was snowing in there. Definitely going to collect and pollinate by hand next time—my tent is a mess. In the future, I’m thinking I’d like to use a slow-release fertilizer instead.
In week 5 of flower, I took a photo (see below). I’m not entirely excited about posting pics. I don’t do this for a living—this is just a hobby. I won’t pretend that I’ve got a nose for this, but my garage smelled like pine with a lot of different deep smells. Really complex, and I definitely need to change my filter. I didn’t do a smoke test on the buds because I went with open pollination and don’t have room for a clone run. Just after week 5, I started to get some thrips because I was getting lazy. I hit them with some Dr. Zymes and TweetMint every other day. I’ve got some takeaways for myself after this one, for sure. I grew outside for 2 years, and this is my 3rd year inside. I’m still new at this, and I’m excited about my tiger-stripe beans.
I pack and label (thermal printer) the beans in 2ml cryo vials with 4 silica beads and cotton balls. I freeze my seeds but haven’t frozen these yet, so they’re fresh. Since this is my first seed run, I was thinking of trading 20 beans for 10 in return, since I don’t have a trust rating yet on here.
