Believe it was this post specifically, by āThe Jokerā, but thereās an earlier post in here from DJ Short that also kinda touches on it. To Quote The Joker:
Once sexed, the process of elimination may begin. All of the females are kept and regularly examined to prevent unwanted hermaphroditism. Unwanted males and all hermaphrodites must be eliminated before they begin to shed pollen ? usually by the third week in the flowering cycle. The female plants need to be checked for hermaphroditism until harvest.
(A quick word on ābackwardā hermaphrodites ? declared males that eventually sport female flowers ? as opposed to the usual female-to-male hermaphrodites. These are semi-rare occurrences, usually sterile but sometimes viable, that I have found at times to be valuable in their genetic contributions. Some of the most resinous and desirable males I have encountered exhibited this trait. This trait almost seems to guarantee against unwanted hermaphroditism in subsequent generations as it also increases the female to male ratio in its progeny.)
I wish I would have seen this sooner, I culled all 3 and all the volunteers, that kept coming up in the pots

Time of an updateā¦
Right now just waiting on both plants to be ready to come down. Have already harvested some seeds form the Sour Diesel auto. Been 8 weeks since I pollinated both plants so they should be ready soon. The Sour Diesel auto has a lot of amber on the sugar leafs, but on the spots where it counts its all still cloudy. This is where I always mess up I figure time is up and cut it down only to say later on when I am smoking it that I wish I let it go longer, so I am giving it another week and see what happens. The Sour Dubb still has some time before its ready, but damn it is still green. The colas are the size of big lemons. Finally I transferred the Orange Kush Cake into its growing container.
