I remember that book. It gave me a few concepts I still use. I like to layer my soil, with a P heavy lower layer to feed as the plant gets to flowering. It taught me more about the network between mycorhyzzial fungi, bacteria, the ingredients of the soil, and the plant and how the plants actually gets nutrients to it than I had previously known.
