Hi everyone, thought I should peg out a little area for my shit.
I’m in Australia and grow in and out. I’m going to build a room over the next while so thought I’d document that here. Until that’s ready I’ll grow a few plants over winter in a small space and gear up for a big summer season outdoors.
I’ll also no doubt chuck lots of photos up of the garden, fruit trees, forest, random Australian flora and fauna and possibly more off the wall things as I don’t mind dabbling in mushrooms and LSD more than is strictly healthy.
Anyway, off we go. I wet a few Texas Mud S1 from Black Leaf today so I’ll get them in the dirt tomorrow.
Can we acknowledge for a minute that this is the best thread title in a while?
Hope the grow goes great, looking forward to seeing what pops off down under.
The seeds are in cubes now waiting to break through. I’m pretty hands off with seeds, whatever will be will be.
It was a nice weekend, the sun decided to show itself and I got lots done - cleared over a km of bush paths with my machete so now my arms are fucked! Got all the weeds out of our lower beds too so I’ll get the top ones done next.
I’ll post lots of photos soon (once I work out how to shrink them a bit - OG says they’re too big).

If you feel like playing “Where’s Wally” (or Waldo or whatever his name is in your part of the world): 4 out of 4 are sending shoots down to the heat mat.
Also, here’s the room that I’m going to turn into the grow space. Need to close up the roof, add AC and ventilation. Need to paint floor and walls too. It’s 2.3x2.3 meters (9x9 ft or thereabouts in crazy measurements).
There’s no drain either - I can cut a floor drain through the concrete and link it up to the shower line next door (gross?) but thinking of punching a pipe out the wall and pumping the waste onto the gardens outside. Decisions.

Quick update - we had severe floods a couple weeks ago and I couldn’t get home for a couple of days. The sprouts were cold and cooked with wet feet when i got to them so I thought I’d wait until they recovered a bit. First leaves are a mess but they’re growing out of it now the environment is more stable.
Popped 4 more too - some mystery freebies from a past order. 8 is my max number for this run. They’ll probably catch the others pretty fast and I’m planning on taking cuts of everything before flowering.
In other news, the floods brought down quite a few trees so that’s kept me busy. I need a better chainsaw.
The 4 new ones are up. Not sure what the mothers are but they’re RMQ crosses from Heavy Dayze that he chucks in as freebies. 2 seeds were very fat and 2 were tiny so should get a bit of variety.
3 look fine but one is a bit runty with shitty colour so hoping it sorts itself out.
The 4 Texas Mud S1s will get the res turned on tomorrow. Glad I got these ones back in shape, they were touch and go after getting stuck in the cold and dark for days during the floods.
Not much to report. Lights off in an hour or so but I just put the seedlings into autopots so they can start making their way down to the res. I went with those until I set up the place properly so I don’t need to hand water things.
Texas Mud S1s are growing quick now. I’ll top them and I’m letting the seedlings go natural to give them a bit of catch up time then I’ll flower them.
I need to shelve my plans to build out the room for now - the front deck is fucked and I need to get that fixed first to avoid divorce
I’ll set up a 4x8 tent for now and a mini split A/C until cashflow improves so I can sort it properly. Lights and ventilation are done at least - don’t mind the panda film everywhere, it’s only temporary but does the job.
