How do you go about this? The dehuey is a must for me in the fall, but the heat it puts out is a killer! I dump 5 gallon buckets regularly and would love to hear how you mitigate the heat it throws out!

I see the ghetto rig, but walk me through the materials and craft.

Sits up on a table
Doesn’t drain into its own container but out a hose and into a huge bucket for colllection

I used insulated duct to surround the exhaust outlet and ran it out of that room

Just duct tape

Works great

JUST AMAZING what it did. I have a big house, 2 story. Was having A/C issues i thought, couldnt get room cool, my phone app told me my house was warm. Im no genuis nor A/C tech, lol, . So isssue was 2 return vents are directly across from the damn thing, in the room with the tents. All the hot air from the tents, AND the friggin de machine, went right into those ac returns, sucked straight up into the attic where the units are.

Dont know why, but that hot ass air fucked with the A/C somehow. Before ducting it, set thermo at 74, house would be 78-80, that room 85. Brand new 16K worth of A/c, high quality. DRiving me nuts, never did it before in the year it has been in.

Since ducting just that stupid lil machine, set thermo to 74…74. Set to 65…65. Flower room constant temp now, and cool  Rest of house cool now too. Cant believe that thing made such a difference. I now will leave it at 76 when go to work, on 3 degree swing, so will stay 79-73, just where i want them right now. Bring e, up to 80 or so in 2 weeks for a week or 2, then slowly drop them temp in to the 60 to finish.

Glad i was stoned enough to stumble into my problem and actually fix it.

Hard to call A/c men to my house…thermo box is OF COURSE in flower room, where else would it be, lol! Laundry room, leading to thermostat is a nursery, lol, so anything wrong in my house, even though i can afford to have it fixed, i fucking gotta do it myself…trust no one

Amen to that

I do the same if something is busted near the tent room I do it myself

Hell when I had the fire I put it out before the fire and cops got here and locked up the closet lol :joy:

My outside unit went bad on the outside of house, had to have a ac guy come and replace that unit, no big deal he would not even be going inside.

I did have a portable unit cooling my tent exhaust venting out a window. But Temps where high do to the central ac being down and the stank was getting high.:grinning::grinning:
The ac guy did walk by the window and was like, " hey I think you have a dead skunk under your house" I wa s like oh yeah dammit I will get that taken care of real fast…:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: he was like" man that sucks" and finished picking up his tools and left.

I’m not smart enough to grasp HVAC nuances, but from your description it sounds like you solved a nuisance AND avoided exposure and high repair costs. I’ve been trying to avoid knocking holes in walls or ceilings to just dump hot, humid air into the innards of the home. I’m also still trying to understand how that single dehuey was fucking up an AC for such a large home. I’ll stick to what I can grasp haha.

There gonna be pissed at ya but I’m sure they’ll survive .

I’d fill them in the dark and not even worry I disrupted there sleep time but that’s just me .
