But the sick thing is Mcgregor has since bought the pub where it happened and has barred the old man from drinking in the bar.

I didn’t know about the last part. What a scumbag. My understanding is that the pub tradition is much more than the standard bar, where that guy may have been going to that same pub his whole life, hell it could have been his father’s pub before him. It’s not like “oh well I can’t go to the bar I like” but a real gut punch to have that taken away.
