My first grow since 2003, so bear with me. Mistakes were made, and lessons learned. Heh, well re-learned.
Runtz x Layer Cake Day 51 of flower.
They’ve had a rough go of it. I prob would have pulled them 3 weeks ago, but thought they might have hermied and seeded due to environmental factors, and I had nothing else to put in there anyway. Either way, now Im glad I didnt.
T-1 til chop. Day 80 of flower. Would love to give another ten days for sudden burst of calyxes to swell, but I dont think they have it in them, plus I need to get to redoing my space so I can get some others going.
Figured Id throw in an update. They’re on day 7 of drying. They’ve been about 60 degrees, and 62-65% humidity, and guessing will be another week till I can throw in cure bags.
What was going on? Looks like high temps maybe? Flower came out looking top shelf tho!
I hate that feeling when you’re finally smoking it and you know it could be better. It causes me to smoke more. Then i need to grow more… round and round we go
@Cannabiscrusader
I think there was either a problem with ph drift, or the nutes I was using, the soil, or all.
By drift, I mean I would ph it correctly, but thinking it would drift up in the soil. Reason I think that is because Id ph water/nutes, but if I tested next day ph would be up a good bit.
I was using master blend nutes, which are kind of like Jacks 321, and added cal mag once in a while, and think i wasnt getting it right or something. Switched to GH bloom and grow and immediately saw a difference.
And, I think there was prob with soil I used. It was a 10yo bag I had, with some added perlite. Between that and maybe over watering, plants caught some thing, which I did somehow overcome, but still left me with probs.
Then, I ended nutes a little too early, and plants ran out of nitrogen toward the end, as can prob tell.
Here are some pics, and link to my help post showing other probs.
Most of the D6 phenos I’ve seen generally have 5 blades, and they’re more spread out than in your pic. I did have one D6 plant that had wrinkly/crinkly looking leaves in my 2024 outdoor.
Yours looks healthy. It just looks like an unusual leaf morphology.
What are you feeding and at what ppm/EC and pH? What are temps and RH like? What is the lighting situation?
In coco feeding about 800 ppm of GH MaxiBloom, which I just switched from the maxigrow. PH @5.8. It def could be a humidity issue. Im having a hard time keeping it up near 50% right now. Temps are between 75 -85 right now. It could just be this pheno. I can tell ya, there a good bit of trichs given how early they are in flower.
They seem happy, so Im not gonna worry too much about it. Just thought it was odd.
DoubleSowaBanger69 from @bigLblazed It has some kind of deficiency. It gets same as others, so It must have a higher demand for something. Anyway I gave it a good flush with nutes, so hoping it takes care of it. Either way, still not too bad.
