Time for a little LST on the House Arrest from Bean-Hub. Two very different phenos.
They look good. I usually top at fourth node. They’ll start bushing up more.
I have never topped. Do you clone the top when you cut it??
That’s a very good option actually if you have enough node spacing to do so and room/desire for clones i would.
If i have really short node spacing i would top but not attempt to clone it. I usually like about three inches at least of stem. If i have lots of branches and need a clone from a plant that is very tight in node spacing i will usually take a few nodes down and remove leafs from it to get more stem into the soil. Your plants have good spacing to take a top clone to me. I think it just comes down to do you like the genetics and do want to keep them around or do you want new strains into the garden once this plant is harvested. I think topping regardless of desire for a clone is useful however.
