Not quite but close I didn’t know till I looked it up very similar but these are lacewings! and the suspended egg cacoons if that’s what there called! They move considerably faster than ladybug larvae . They can cover the width of a hop leaf rather quickly!

Next year my echinacea should be grown in. Can’t wait! Starting perennials from seed takes forever! Is that yellow one up top a coreopsis or Cosmo? Looks like one or the other. I love volunteers! I’ve got my 2nd set of cosmos growing compliments of the first and johnny jump ups everywhere! As well as chamomile! It’s always nice when it’s not a weed. lol

Coreopsis yup! I pull up about 2 dozen cosmos in my fire pit area growing right in the sand imagine that I did transplant a few in the purple rain bed though.

Ya about the only living CC now is right on the edges of the box … it served its purpose well though!

Isn’t it interesting that as the plant no longer needs extra nitrogen, the CC is dying off?

Agree I imagine that the nodules on the roots when they decompose I guess will still provide something to the soil!
