  • know your last and first frost dates/zone
  • plant autoflowers early if you have problems later in season
  • use light deprivation if you have problems later in season
  • choose the right strain
  • use Baccilus thuringlensis ssp. kurstaki for destructive moth larvae
  • use sulfur or a citrus/lactose solution for mildew mitigation
  • plant in pots to bring them indoors if you know weather is sub-optimal

How do you grow indoors? Organic, hydro…

There are lots of outdoor threads on here to read through and pick up growing tips. :slightly_smiling_face: @Pigeonman for example.

There’s lots of tips and things to consider. many already covered here and elsewhere. Growing in containers is great if you have a short season to get it done. The roots being constrained helps the plants to an earlier flower and ultimately gets you denser gnarlier buds and earlier harvest. Something I’ve found useful in colder wetter climate.

I grow organically, been having security problems so I’m moving out to farm land after I raise some money, fucking, have to figure out how to put money into a down payment lol

I used to grow sea of green hydroponics and organics, but I got cut out by some dealer here

I live in the west coast, can’t say much lol

this is a good tip, I’ve had mother plants in 3 gallon pots that would roar lmao, think I got a pic

these are after I started blooming my mother room, think this was back in 2018

ya when plants get root bound they stop producing certain hormones that increases the meristem, they might make smaller buds though due to the transport system they have

more tips!!

  • concrete ground floors are good for pest mitigation (thanks bayarealivingsoil!)
  • more light = bigger buds, plants
  • for organics: if you want to mix up something like, a .75cu/5gal roots organic bag of soil with organic nutrients, you can put the nutes on the top of the soil and/or “till” it in, a tiller is a pole with a claw that allows you to mix soil, just be careful when mixing high nitrogen and high phosphorus nutrients, id strongly suggest keeping them in 1 gal pots until bloom
  • pests come in waves and you need to counter them
  • you can isolate a male on a plot of land and use it to pollenate a bunch of plants
  • for those using hoses and their nozzle attachments, you can use a 3 ft water wand (a nozzle attached to a telescoping rod)
  • dolomite lime keeps ph at ph7, with outdoor plants you can put about 1tsp/gal every 3 months (not sure if this is a good tip, will try sometime to experiment)

Larger volume of soil and put it all in. 20g minimum or use a SIP. Top dress whats needed when needed. Ph schmeeH. Allow the biology to regulate and keep the biology happy. These plants dont require different nutrients to flower. Same nutrients in different ratios. They know what they need. Trust em. Don’t see a reason to ever check PH TDS or PPM again. Checking for worms is more fun anyway. Keep it moist and LITFA.
