I Hope everyone of them Come out  In my opinion I wouldnt left the seeds to sprout so much. They already have a very Long Root which can be easily damaged by transfering in to the soil. Its very fragile! I would recomend to put them in soil the second you see them pop and little White Root tip  good luck!

Can’t wait to see how your grass monkey turns out. The pineapple chunk sounds interesting too. So far so good. Pulling up a chair…

I dont like unruly plants… like to keep them small enough to work with… plus I get strain burnt… i grow enough that by the time I’m done smoking what I have i have something different to try for a couple month…
that’s what I always grow different strains

Hey @toastyjakes How do those degradable pots work for you? I used them years back and remember they never really decomposed… At the end of the season when I pulled the plants outs I noticed a good bit of roots making their way out of the pot but I always wondered how much they held the roots back. I’m doing some autos this year for the first time and with wanting to not transplant them since they have a limited amount of time to recover.

Anyways, what’s been your experience?

I like them… the pineapple I’m doing right now was planted straight into the soil when I started seeing root end popping the sides and bottom…
Then I just watered around the pot and let the roots grow to the moisture…

They seem to have little to no trouble breaking through the pot itself though…

I have one in my compost from a male I cut and considering it’s been in soil of some type for a couple months it’s not really breaking down the way I’d expect…

On the bad end of the spectrum… for those of us that grow fungi as well, the pots do tend to break out in trichoderma (a fungus that’s everywhere, just very unideal when growing edible fungus)

But for sure @Eddie.saw, I would definitely recommend to those that dont wanna take the chance on transplanting stress… and theyd be a pretty inexpensive addition to auto growers that don’t want to just direct sow into final pots

Thanks but what have you seen in how they degrade?

Like i said… they don’t very fast but im sure eventually they would… I think most of the degradation is done when the root system goes through the pot and just shreds it because of the roots
