Gorilla Glue 4 is a cut, so it would not be possible to inbreed it. Tony Green used one of the ancestors of GG4 (Sour Bubble) as a male to create an “recombinant” IBL: Same building blocks, but different combination.

not exactly

tony and Dansbuds (rip) started this work with the josey whales GG4/Original Glue cut crossed with sour bubble , creating Gorilla Bubble. Tony then worked the Gorilla Bubble back to the GG4 clone 6 generations I believe.
At the same time Mycotek was also working the same GG4 clone with a different line and also worked to the 6th generation crossing back to the GG4 clone.
It became a Recombinant Inbred Line when Tony and Mycotek combined thier two lines to create GG4 RIL.
It’s fascinating and dedicated work by two great breeders.
Smoking some recently harvested RIL right now… so damn frosty it gums up my scissors every time hehehe

The bubble definitely adds a lot to the yield, I’ve seen both in yards and the Joesy Whales cut is bulletproof and healthy but doesn’t yield the way the R.I.L does.

Ive got 5 packs of the GG4 RIL, and 139 seeds of the 05-10 Sour Bubble, but havent grown any of them, yet.

I already started my max, back in February, of a few other strains. Only have a 4 x 4 area. They are in 3 Gallon grow bags. Have about as many as I can stuff, into a 4 x 4.
Used a 1000w Halide -6500k for veg, and will use a 1000w Hortilux HPS, for flowering.
