Tonygreens RIL Group Buy Grow Show (Closed)

Feel free!

Clean up. Trying to not take too much. Good variety though.

Here are 3 super sour bubble phenos, 1 solo 2 sharing 3 gal. Similar to my bx5 keeper mom but with a different nose. Will expound on that later.

Pot of 3 glue leaners, little less node length and branchy as hell. All three have the peppery bite that means glue phenos and skunky funky monkey.
This lot labeled 2. A B C.

Probably should take a little more off those but meh.

This one is solo, sour bubble leaner with less exaggerated node length. Really put together well.
Wish it was bigger but it was the sole survivor ha.

Does she put out 1k beans? Well see. Hoping for that per pot.

Still got the big cows to do. Shit lol.

Usually take more off but I’m wishy washy on getting close to the number as I can.

You can see why we call them super sour bubble phenos. Cornstalk dominance sb is famous for broke with heavy branching and opened up vigor and internode length.

This one has a gassy lime bite with a peppery finish.
She was the star of her pot from day 1.

My keeper bx5 is a clean chem hashy profile I chose so she would combine well with other terp profiles, adding the resin, flower structure and branching but letting donor Terps shine.
This one is similar but has a interesting nose.
Might end up a more gassy less raunchy glue.
Resin started 3 days before my keeper mom.

Lot 3.

If I was shooting for flower I’d take 2 or 3 more nodes.

Good to know, I’m taking notes as I’m about to do my first pollination on some plants hehe.

Lot 4 and 5, the bobbsey twins.
4 is garlic chemmy skunk.
5 limey skunk atm.
Little less extreme node length. 5 would do really well in any indoor garden with little work.

Competition from the males was tough but we got our crew. Now to water and get to bed before my wife kills me. Lol

I’m excited about that glue bucket.
Some awesome babies are gonna come out of that.
They are branchy but do not have the insane node length and if I’m looking for a gg4 pheno that’s the group you look in. These super sour bubble phenos are of the largest group of hybrid phenos then the low end small percent runts.

The super sour bubbles make excellent breeding material. They add resin and flower density, branching and open up structure. The exaggerated traits breed well on the outcross, in the RIL the hybrid vigor kicks in and they go nuts but I’ve noticed my clones become more manageable. They bring life to slow indicas!
Traits have segregated in bx5 so you can see the exaggerated effects of each, branching, node length and resin production. These can be applied easily to a donor line with a F1 and then back cross as their heterozygous expression is of the quality of gg4.
This segregation also makes selection easier.

Dont be afraid to cut these girls, like I say for flower I’d go half or 3 quarter.

Some scrogger is gonna go fucking apeshit at some point. Hint hint lol

I used to rant about it but I try to stay in my lane these days… backcrossing does not create a uniform line. It creates families of similarness by trait segregation.
You need an incross to create a uniform progeny.
Any 2 similar plants from each family could make their own uniform progeny.
What becomes uniform is the pheno ratio lol
Just for exercise tested this with bx1f1 bx2f1 and bx3f1.
The RIL provides a unique incross event that also brings the hybrid vigor to the table.
I’m too old to argue anymore so I let breeders say whatever b.s. and mind my own business. Lol

From my understanding of selective breeding, The bx part does throw more variations in the mix, while straight sibling inbreeding to work a certain pheno is how I see breeding normally. It’s like, since this plant can be kept going basically indefinitely, the ability to back cross at any generation to any generation throws so many variables into the loop I have no idea where to being/stop, and what benefits it really has.

That’s how I feel when it comes to my wife… lol… but on a side note I like hearing you spew off all that scientific stuff it reminds me of how dumb I am… anyways, cheers :beers: sir and a Happy New Years to you and yours may 2021 bring you health, love and prosperity.
