TOOL on tour - 2022

TOOL is going on tour again in 2022, tickets on sale this Friday. I haven’t been to a concert in a while, and I’m not big on arena tours, but Tool is one band that I’ll make an exception for. There won’t be live luchador wrestling on stage like at a Puscifer show, but it’ll still be a great time.

First saw them in 2002 with Tomahawk, what an awesome experience. Fuck if I can remember many details, but it was a great time with GA seating on the arena floor, we were moshing at a Tool show back then. I’ve heard that Maynard doesn’t want people getting crazy in the crowd, and every Tool show I’ve seen since then has had chairs all the way to the front.

Tickets for all dates are on sale this Friday, October 1 at 10 a.m. local time (U.K. and Irish dates are on-sale at 9 am local time). TOOL Army members can purchase pre-sale tickets for European dates on September 28 at 10 a.m. local time (24-hour pre-sale window), while U.S. pre-sale tickets are available on September 29 at 10 a.m. local time (36-hour pre-sale window). A selection of exclusive packages, which include a pre-sale ticket, will also be made available to TOOL Army members on September 29 at 10 am local time.

Saw them around that time with Fantomas. Seeing Mike Patton live is just as good as Tool imo. They’re not the same band I fell in love with many years ago so I’m skipping, mostly bc like you, I don’t like the huge venues, but should still be a great show. Hope you enjoy✌🏻

Wanted to see them last round but tickets are insanely priced. Saw them a number if times in the late 90s. Tickets were 20 bucks.

I saw that!!! Damn it! I want to go so bad, but I’m gonna have to pass with corona and all. I first saw Tool in like 93’ or 94’. Ive seen them like 6 times including once as A Perfect Circle. They are so amazing good in concert! :+1:

Love tool… out of all music released they top everyone as far as talent and originality… no one will ever compare to them… they take several years refining each album before release… amazing!!! Long time drummer here, and I have to say playing anything by TOOL is nearly impossible… All the other wanna be musicians can only wish they were as great!!!

I am with you 100%, Mike Patton was phenomenal. I had been listening to Mr Bungle with and w/o Patton, but after that show I looked into his other side bands and fell in love with Fantomas. Now I need to go look and see if he’s done anything recently.

If I’m not mistaken, Tomahawk released an album this year. I haven’t had a listen yet, but it’s on the long to-do list :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Those MP side projects are always full of talented musicians too. That man used to stay busy making music. I think age is catching up with him a bit.

Wonder what those tickets will run.

Me too. One of the few bands that I want to, but have never seen!

Same. How I never managed to see them considering I live smack dab in the middle of NYC and Philly baffles me.

With Maynard’s vineyard (and home) in Prescott (and also Gerome) they play Phoenix a lot, and even Tucson more than our population would rate. I could’ve gone for free with a buddy who was WAY into them a couple times in high school (2000-2004) but passed at that time. Wasn’t that into them back then.

I missed them like 2 or 3 years ago, they played about an hour from my house, small venue, never even knew until afterwards…

So no love for Canadians?

I want to see a Toronto set of dates on that list!

Tool is one of very few bands I will go to a large venue for.

I remember sometime while they were working on 10,000 days they did a run of theater shows. I spent all day (staggered on sale times) trying to get tickets to anywhere I could, regardless of how far a drive, and every single one sold out before I could get them. Still a little salty about it. Would love to get to see them somewhere smaller than an arena some time.

I’ve seen them a hand full of times and will probably pass this round as I saw them their last time through just before the pandemic and with the ticket prices I don’t mind sitting this one out.

I might have to go for this one. Always been a Maynard fan, but never seen a show. Maybe I can do it as an early B-Day present lol. They come around these parts about a month ahead
