What are white label seed companies? Ilgm is one with all the talk about he is a dutch grower and seed maker for all big Amsterdam shops?
@LL342 new Orleans is the plad for food and culture worked at a Delmonico’s and a few other nice restaurants cooking and wow! Spicy not hot but flavor( ok a little heat sometimes) it’s amazing.

White Label seed companies buy in bulk, have no clue if they are the real strain or not, they are going off what was told to them at purchase. 9 times out of 10 what you get isn’t the strain at all.
ILGM does exactly this, buys in bulk, and are labeling them based off what the seller told them.
I have a friend who I taught how to grow, and he used Homegrown Cannabis Co, which I consider 1 step above White Label, for the longest time, until I got him some actual breeder seeds of the same strain, (White Widow) and there wasn’t a comparison. The seeds I gave him were frosted to hell, like dripping resin, and his was a weak cross of something mids, not White Widow.
He almost went the ILGM and god forbid, Crop Kings route, until I showed him, how can one company have just about every strain known to man??? Well, buy 10,000 seeds, label ‘em what you want, ship em out, that’s how.

So that’s why some companies will run lines and have 10 crosses off the one line. Then when start a new line cross with the others. Makes sense🤔

I used to be on ILGM. That is the only other forum I’ve ever been a part of. I had never grown a pot plant and every time I tried, I failed so I went there looking for some knowledge. There’s some real good folks on that forum and they got me going. When I got… disillusioned with the place because some of the mods were heavy handed and biased, I told a friend I was done with them. He asked me to give this place a try.
I have had, less than fun, dealings with a mod or two on here but the situation was handled in a more or less fair way. I can be an opinionated person and when I’m stoned sometimes I post those opinions when it would probably be best not to. lol
Anyway, I never bought seeds from them and now that I read about how they are not trustworthy I’m glad I didn’t.

I like mutton stew. The texture is different. To me, goat is more like venison and mutton is tougher but has more flavor (kinda gamey/tangy) . A good venison steak is more delicately flavored than mutton. Which isn’t used for steak much.
Lamb is a whole different animal. It’s extremely tender (of course) and the flavor is very mild.

@MoBilly I was on the forum for a while too and all the smartest people fell to the same issue and ended up leaving. They got mad I was asking people to join my discord and I was over it not being able to message people its like they wanted you locked into their seeds and only their seeds and that was frustrating

I’ve looked at ilgm the seeds aren’t cheap. They make it seem like your getting a huge discount with the sales price.
My buddy ordered from them, The Godfather og. It is good

Sooo many people promote their beans! I think a lot of us bit the white label/generic bullet at one point, even myself. Canuk had convinced me about 15 years ago they were legit breeders so I bit, I will say their Wedding Cake was a pretty damn stellar example, double chocolate was decent too. But I found out a few years later they were just buying from Spain like all the rest of “those guys” and never bought another pack. I still remember messaging the owner and he tried to make it seem like I should have deciphered that when he told me “ we grow and breed all of our own strains and seeds right here in Canada” 
(He did send me a pack of each that I bought for free to make up for it so they aren’t all that bad in my books but the deceipt pissed me off )

A learning experience or a growing experience. You can have worse starting points. A lot of people are not taking it this far. They could care less if it’s white label or not

True that, but they should definitely be transparent with the fact they just purchase S1’s from Spain which could or could not be the real cut. It’s just another example of things hurting the industry and making deciphering the real cultivars harder and harder.

This only matters to people like us 
. My neighbors don’t care as long as it works. Shit my wife doesn’t even care what I hand her as long as it works. She couldn’t tell you the difference between like 4-6 strains she has smoked repeatedly for years.
