I’ve recently started vegging in a different tent, and noticed when I transferred my 12-18" plants to the Octopots they seemed to suffer a pretty severe shock. They got very limp for a few days and took at least 10 days before they started perking up.
I only lightly top-watered them 1 time after transplanting, and I’m wondering if they would have done better if I top-watered more thoroughly and more than once. Or would this prevent the roots from reaching the Octopot reservoir?
They say only to water once from the top (to encourage the roots downwards) Then let the reservoir take over.
Perhaps the shock was the plant hooking up with the reservoir.
The smaller the plant the better but I’ve really never had an issue with larger plants transferring them to my Octopots
This grow all eight plants where large
One gave me a headache but she had p and k deficiencies before I started
The healthier the better
I mean they look good and healthy. I would just pour directly down the hole so it ushers the roots to the rez. I wouldnt full soak the entire ocotpot bag. Whenever i transplant i also trim away some of the rootball especially if the roots are circling .
