SLH was a seedline bro. It wasn’t a clone. So not sure how you can say that’s an elite clone. If you knew it is a clone, you had someone’s selection. It was never one thing

NorCal is where you wanna go for inexpensive legit ass clones. By the time you get to socal / the border the clones are still legit but they’re less choices.
Not sure what elite even means here in context. Best yielding? Commands a high price? Relative scarcity? $500-1000 seems within the reason range for a commercial grower to drop on proven genetic lines, the only difference between those top dollar cuts and the cuts at a quality dispensary is scarcity. The jbeezy wedding cake cut was expensive for a minute but then everyone got ahold of it and eventually pcg even started dropping it as one of those $40 dispensary clones.
Tl/Dr elite is a marketing term to command a higher price it’s not objectively better on any one metric

Everyones right in a sense, there are 40 dollar clones that can be just as good if not better than the 500 dollar clones. There still are some clones fetching 5k. Things are changing, its a race to the bottom these past few years and prices have dropped for the most part. Im personally scared of clones these days after getting hplvd in 2017, but may have to grab some OG cuts here soon and play with some pollen.

The mother of this seed line is the elite selection clone from who knows what other lines or breeding projects that created the mother of those seeds, the same elite mother we used to get in AMS in 05, that’s it.
Like Cheese is a “seed line” but the mother is what’s in question here and her traits !
Elite is Potency, Taste, Smell.
To the Max, like 10 in each category across the board, cup winner cut etc… but not the fake cup winners that you smoke and don’t know what’s all the hype about…

Dude, Greenhouse seeds made SLH. It was a seedline bro. It’s not even debatable. I was around back then to, I remember it.
And cheese was NOT a seedline. One was created eventually but the bright side, suicide and others were clone only.
Remember, we were speaking about how elusive “elite clones were”. I’m not sure how we got here
SLH is a line not cut though. You can get true breeding reg seeds of SLH. The cut is the Franco cut, which is just one pheno that Franco grew out and really enjoyed. It’s not really rare either.
I’ve grown a shit ton of cuts, never come across a cut that is perfect in every aspect. Every cut including those fancy elite cuts has strength and weaknesses.
One person’s elite is another mans meh cut. I find that aspect pretty fun actually, trading with others to see what THEY think is elite.

Wedding cake. From what I was told its the Breeders cut. Who knows, never paid much attention to these hype cuts, but i will admit, this chick is stunning, and smells incredible. Shes getting wacked this weekend.

Earthy and Gassy, heavy stone. Def not the cornbread Ricky cut. I’m thinking this is the one from TK origins. Falls over, can’t support itself, doesn’t yield the best, done in 9 weeks max. Great flavour. Throws 3 leaflets all through veg, pretty much until I flowered and then started throwing 5 fingers. I am a fan of this. Have not tried the other cut but would love to get her as well sometime. Going to try and reverse this one next round and see what happens. This was taken down at 8 weeks, could have let her ride another week. First round I ran 10 weeks and she was not as good as this 8 week time. 9 is the sweet spot I’m thinking.

Sounds like prices in Boston in early 2000’s. Canada we never went above 300 for the death.
Yea 800 an oz is Nutz… We used to go to New York City for Sour and it was 400 an oz and that was like almost twice the price of quality oz where I lived

I think I heard Csi reversed TK and found “SFV” “Ghost” etc in there. I think he believes TK is where all the Og cuts came from.
I dont have personal first hand experience. But figured Id put that out there for discussion.
On a side note one of my SB girls looks extremely similar to TK. Could maybe line breed that a bit and come out with a sturdier TK on the other side.

I agree, that sounds like an excellent match. I’ll also agree a little bit on some physical looking similarities in leaf with triangle Kush from the pics I’ve seen and my very amateur eyes.

Everything on this plant is floppy and bendy. Nothing snappy about that I have noticed. It will fall over as soon as it its not supported. Side branches bend and flop all over the place. Same plant with and without support pictured below lol.
