Triangle Kush X Triple Sunshine f2 Project

I’ve been lagging on starting this thread, but here we go.

At the end of last year, I received some beans from a fellow member who’s no longer with us here on Overgrow — Syzygy. I’m not here to debate why he’s no longer around, as I honestly have no clue what happened. What I do know is that this project was already in the works before all that went down.

That said, I still want to give a shoutout to him for gifting me a few packs of beans last year. Much respect.

I popped and flowered the beans around early January to February this year and found some really nice phenos. Unfortunately, some health issues came up for me around week 7 of flower, so I had to send the plants over to a buddy’s place to finish them off—right around weeks 7–8.

I kept backup clones of all the standout phenos while waiting for the final product to cure and be tested. The friend who finished flowering them is a big-time Kush guy and really knows his stuff. After drying and curing, he said pheno #3 and #7 were the best of the bunch.

The cool part is that what he liked matched up with the notes I had written down during the flowering stage. I didn’t do a smoke test myself since I’m currently taking a break, but I fully trust his judgment—he’s been a long-time, experienced smoker.

Here is all the plants. Don’t mind the bottom right corner shorty plant that is a Bubba Kush s1

I was always interested in TK and Syzygy made those Triple sunshines look amazing. I was hoping there were still some floating around here. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with

Here are more updated pics of tk x ts pheno #7 on the left, keeper male in the middle and pheno #3 on the right.

I would say they are about 2-3 weeks into flower. The female on the far left is flowering quicker outdoors so far.

I usually like hitting the females with pollen around week 3 of flower but this male started flowering super fast. This is a good sign though as I like strains that flower early outdoor before the rain and cold nights come which equals (Bud rot)

A few early seeds already developing.

Yes , the cross was really nice! I can’t wait to make these f2’s and see what comes out of them. I’m also in the works of reversing the #7 pheno and making some s1 and also hitting the pheno #3 to make a fem cross.

Backup plants 3x of each of #3 and #7 ready for fem project. Also (blue tags)3x backup males if I need them later.

A little update. The bigger TK x TSS #3 and 7 are having a hard time outdoors but I think the seeds will pull through and finish up. I pulled a nice brown with black stripe seed today so we are getting close maybe a few more weeks for the seeds to finish. I wont get as many seeds as I wanted but no worries as I have some backup clones of each different female phenos and the 2x males just to make sure I get more beans.

Pollen Chuck Project. I usually like to pheno hunt and selective breed before crossing anything but since I already had these outside and they already were already getting hit by the big TK x TSS male I said screw it I’ll just pollinated everything outside to get a bunch of crosses to play around with later.

Here is some Green Crack S1 from @Griot_FlyingFishFarm 3 different phenos from seed.

I hit all 3 with pollen from the TK x TSS male. but will be hitting them again once the backup male start dropping pollen.

From @Uprangewilly have 2 BSHW going this is so far my favorite one at the moment but the shorty pheno is also started to look good too.

Here is 2 Frankie’s Purple Haze from @JohnnyPotseed

I was sent more information on the TK x TSS strain that was given to me from Syzygy. I want to post this info here as once the seeds are done and given away I want to make sure everyone has all the back story on it and where the genetics came from.

"Triple Sunshine was purchased directly from SHOE. Supposedly very limited and only available at the 2017 emerald cup.

All 4 females were high quality in the pack and found one of my favorite plants I’ve grown from Bodhi to date in this pack. Made F2s and dusted the Triangle Kush with a thin stemmed Triple Sunshine (F1) male that looked the most like the TK to me. I labeled it Triple Sunshine (E). Also used a mixture of pollen from (H) and (E) on a different run to make F2s. Almost all of the seeds were sent out as free gifts on Overgrow and they cannot be remade, as the male is long gone. Cool to see people finding nice plants in this pollen chuck and taking it further. Love what you’re doing there @Neoangelo"
