Just noticed they have trimming trays out that you can trim on that has mesh screen on it that sifts out some of the keif from your trimmings. Anyone have experience with them? Are they worth buying for such a high price tag?
Just buy a trim bin (or similar) and thank us later… Every regular grower should have one if they can afford one, IMO.
I use mine to break down seeded buds all the time. They’re worth it just for the ergonomics and ease of use.
Some folks here are using them.
I too have looked at them but after some consideration I figured I’d need to be growing more plants than I am to get full benefit for it.
Cheers

I got the trim bin style off amazon…didnt realize it was a brand. The actual brand trim bin is about double the price of the one i got off amazon for around 25$ USD
That price sounds a little better lol I do want to get one just not sure if id get a lot of benefit out of it like gpaw mentioned and the price seems crazy high for what it is unless i was doing crazy high yields to sit there for a few hours with it to really get a lot collected. Having a 4x4 and new to growing im not expecting to yield a lot maybe when i get good to where i can get some decent yields ill pick one up, thanks all.
I have a trim bin with the screen and a bigger green bin without the screen. I find myself using the green one more. I wet trim so it defeats using the screen one. I dry my sugar leaves and rub them on the screened bin. When I did dry trim I only got a gram or so off a few ounces.
I’m not cheap, I’m frugal. I was eyeing them up too. I later decided to just buy a piece of micro screen and I made my own. I forgot how much I spent on it but well worth it. I sandwiched it between some pieces of wood and screwed on a non stick baking sheet.
You can also customize to fit your size and comfort. Good luck in trim jail.
Just noticed? Haha where have you been man… Seriously though they have been on the market for quite some time but like others have mentioned you could easily make one yourself. Some people have to have all of the name brand s*** so I’m sure you could find a $100 AC Infiniti or similar version out there. Not sure if you guys follow lex on YouTube but he’s been doing cannabis related stuff for many years. Strange guy haha but interesting videos
Thats a great idea, I might have to do this since i have all the tools to make it happen!
I do have one I got out of AliExpress. It wasn’t super cheap tbh, something like 40 usd? But it does work quite well! Honestly it’s not like a whole ton of it (for 3 plants), but I’d waste all (or a lot of) that dust had I not used it… I’m just not sure it’s worth 40 bucks, the wood DIY from ll_medical seems pretty nice! If it’s cheaper than 40 usd I’d just make one next time instead of buying.
Dude, you will get worth out of it from a couple ounces…you are growing in a space big enough to pull at least a lb
Trust you need one of these
Yeah sadly havent been in the position to even think about growing again for years and they have so much new stuff out now its crazy. Last time i was into growing hps was the only lights recommended for growing before full spectrums were even a thing lol so its been a while. Thought hmm i wonder if they make trays for catching keif like grinders do and behold they do lol just wanted to see if they really work and worth the money
I got the “ablaze” branded version on Amazon for $35. I like it just for a convenient way to trim while sitting in a comfy chair. I honestly don’t really care about the keif catcher but it works.
I don’t know what people’s time is worth, but no way in hell I’m taking the time to make something that costs well under 100 unless it’s taking me like 20 minutes to make it. It’ll take that long to find and purchase materials. That’s if I don’t waste too much time researching, which I will, and a lot if it! ![]()

Tbh, I can make 40 usd faster than I can make something like a wooden tray, but sometimes I feel like doing something for the process of it can be pretty soothing. I enjoy some dull moments sometimes haha
That’s another reason why why the DIY isn’t as nice. They’re comfortable to use and well thought out and designed.
I’m a “wood artist” and am very handy. My problem is, once I’ve done something, I don’t like to do it again, or if I know it’ll be easy…![]()

A good, one of a kind artist but a bad mass production artist. Seems like a cool kind of artist.
I also have three home improvement projects in stagnation. ![]()

I’m fucking terrible at reproducing. I struggle just to decide a single piece is “done”. I’ve redone tables as many as 7 or 8 times just to get the imperfect surface to my liking
