It’s a late update for day 46. What a day. Watered with two gallons of just water with a ph of 6.5 and mosquito dunk bits barely had runoff in the morning. She was thirsty. Runoff tested 4.0 ph. That would explain why growth seems to have stagnated. Watered again at 4pm with two gallons of water with a ph of 8. Significant runoff and my girls soil is back to a ph of 6. It’s a joke that 3 milliliters of SuperThrive will lower the ph to 5 and keep it there when using Advanced Nutrients Ph Perfect Bloom A and B line. The only reason I checked my ph is the slow growth and burnt leaf tips that were bugging me. I had a nagging suspicion that something was amiss. Today will be a better day.

Here’s the picture that failed to upload. I sure do seem to have problems uploading pictures to this site.

It’s three weeks from day seventy for my girl aka day forty nine of flower. Runoff ph is at a 5 yesterday night so not so great. I’ll be watering with ph 7 food later today to hopefully level runoff to 6. Two more weeks of food then water. I expect her to go to day seventy. I took a look at a bud under the microscope. I wish I could take pictures through the eye like I see other people doing. Must be a phone microscope they are using. Mine is a pocket microscope from RadioShack. There are purple pigments going up into the glands on some trichomes. It’s funny as no other part of her has turned purple so far.

A couple nug shots and at lights out last night. Sorry it’s out of focus. I didn’t catch it.

That is one hell of a nice canopy. That’s exactly the look I want.

Is that pretty humid?

During the day it runs 53- 49 or below. There’s a 70 pint dehumidifier in the basement running continuously. During lights out I run an additional large dehumidifier in the lung room aka room my tent is in that I set to run to 40-35 depending on how dry it already is. I average 48-45 inside the tent dead center of my garden during lights out.

Thank you! I’m excited to see her fill out over the next few weeks. Then it’s chop time and going forward to do a 40 cola monster crop.

Thank you! Once I put her back into veg after harvest I’ll detail some of the things I’ve picked up here and there from other growers about canopy management.

It’s day 51 and there’s not a lot to report. Flowers are starting to get larger. Still no purple which is surprising. I took a few close up shots today that I’ll post a few below.

Amazing canopy and grow! As far as the purple goes, have you tried lowering the room temperature and or light intensity? @4theEffects

Thank you! It’s all her honestly. This Tropicanna Cookies has rock solid genetics.

She has been hit with temperatures sustained at 68 degrees at two different times. Once at 20 days and once at day 49. I have not lowered light intensity nor will I until she’s ready for harvest. I want as big of buds as I can get her to make. I suppose a day at 50% couldn’t hurt before a few days of total dark.

No problem! It looks like you have her absolutely dialed in and looks amazing! I actually just started flowering a few Tropicanna cookies s1 beans from bloom seed co a few days ago and hope to find something even remotely similar to that girl! Keep up the great work! @4theEffects

Right on! I received this cut as a gift. It’s a breeders cut and that’s about all I honestly know.

She literally craves light right now! I wish I had 200 more watts on my main light. That would make it perfect at 57 watts a square foot. I will say the surround lights are making a large difference, especially in trichome development. I suspect terpenes will go hand in hand with this. The lights are very high in blue light. I’ve read that intense white light (blue heavy) will boost terpene and cannabinoid development. It seems to be true. It’s for sure made a difference in bud development and frost coverage.

Once I monster crop her back to veg I’m going to take two clones. One will be reversed to male and then used to make female pollen and female S1 seeds with the other cutting. I intend on keeping her around. She’s special. Rock solid genetics I’m going to cross to a few selections in my inventory down the line.

Nice! I’m not too savvy with LEDs. I just recently started using a Mars hydro 100w for seedlings, clones and veg in a little 2x2 tent and it seems to be doing very well so far, but have yet to flower anything under it. I have been thinking of trying out the spider farmer sf4000 for my 4x4 flower tent but kinda stuck in my old ways of HPS.

I’ve always heard the opposite from you in that HPS / red spectrum light creates more trichome and terpene production, especially at lower temperatures during the last couple weeks of flower in a sort of defense mechanism to the UV. Although, with so many changes in technology I’m sure LEDs outperform old HID lights and whatever you’re doing is obviously working very well. How do you like the ViparSpectra KS3000, does it run pretty cool? I tried to look up their KS5000 model on their website but it’s not pulling up for some reason.

I’ll be watching your grow with great interest! I hope your Tropicanna Cookies girls have twice the resin and trichomes mine do. So much so that they look white!
