Greetings OG!
I’m a Brazilian grower and I’m beginning yet another journey of good fortune with immense joy, peace, love, and gratitude—honoring the ancestry of our sacred plant and all its millenary power, crafted and transformed over thousands of years. First shaped by the wise hands of nature and its manifestations, and also by the spirit of the alchemists who dedicated themselves to exploring and transforming the branched genetic map found in each tiny seed gifted by Mother Nature.
For this PhenoHunt project, I chose Space Monkey. I made this decision because I suffer from chronic back pain due to an injury—specifically, a herniated disc. Since this strain has strong properties for pain and tension relief, I felt it would be a helpful choice for me in this regard. In the next run, I’ll be popping Sunshine Daydream BX1 from Copa and Razzberry Hashplant. Later on, I’ll be growing HP x Lavender Lemonaid and Snow Guava (Strawberry Dakini x Snow Lotus)—both gifted seeds I received from the latest GLG promo. I’m very grateful to have these; it’s my first time growing direct seeds from Bodhi. Until now, I had only grown F2 crosses and others reproduced by people continuing his work.
I germinated 12 seeds, and all of them sprouted. However, one seedling showed mutations, so I culled it—leaving me with 11 strong ones.
The grow is being run in an inert medium using coco coir, with mineral nutrients and automatic irrigation in 1.7L pots. I’ll be transplanting to 3.8L pots for flowering. I’m considering adding some organics during the bloom phase.
I actually wanted to grow them all organically—up until now, that’s how I’ve been cultivating. But I’ve faced some challenges with this method, mainly because I can’t visit my plants every day—only on some days during the week. This affected pest control and, unfortunately, my yields dropped significantly—almost by half.
So, I’m temporarily returning to mineral-based growing in search of more stability and productivity. I prepare a reservoir that lasts the whole week. Once I can be more present with my plants on a daily basis, I’ll go back to organics. Until then, I carry on with mineral feeding, but with a heart that remains organic at its core.
For this project with Space Monkey, my intention is to search for true guardians, plants with special medicinal potential, as well as to carry out reproduction by selecting two males for controlled pollination.
They are currently finishing their sixth week of vegetative growth from seed.
Five days ago, I did some apical pruning and defoliation. In about two or three more weeks, I’ll be flipping to flower.
Peace and blessings OG ![]()
