Clown shit. Jones/Stipe and Paul/Tyson. Boxing has been broken for decades, but now so is MMA and most combat. They all saw how much money wrassling and wrasslers make, so they pivoted from the fight industry to the entertainment industry.

My 2 cents, MMA has kinda “desensitized” people to boxing. The general public doesn’t care so much about technical sports as they do overall brutality. Even in football, rugby, hockey etc., all people really wanna see is the big hits & the injuries.
MMA itself has had this sort of rounding-off its own corners, so to speak. Watch a fight from last week, then watch a fight from the early 90s. It’s like watching a broadway play vs. watching an ancient gladiator battle.

Hey! Tyson still has all his teeth, he can do some damage if he can get him in clinches.
I never really thought much of Tyson and honestly didn’t watch but one or two of his fights. It wasn’t until I went back a few years ago and watched a few of his fights from the middle of his career and onward where I realized he had grown into a pretty decent boxer. Early on I thought of him as a bruiser, a thug who could hit like a hammer and won with power but wasn’t very skillful as a boxer. And I think I still think that was true and over time he honed his boxing skills and learned to become pretty decent boxer.
From what I know of Jake Paul which isn’t much he is boxing to boost his Youtube ratings. Someone above said that Tyson has to knock him out early or it won’t end well for him and I have to agree with that. I think Tyson has 5-6 rounds to get it done.
My prediction:
Tyson in 4 by TKO

If this isn’t fixed, Tyson gets laid out. 58 is ancient in fighting terms. Doesn’t matter how much testosterone, growth hormone, and whatever else he’s on. Jake Paul is on it all too and he’s what 27? Jake Paul gets absolutely starched by a top 20 cruiserweight, but you spend millions of dollars on training and the science experiment he’s doing with his body, just about any 27 year old will beat a 58 year old who was a bad ass in his 20s. It’s the easiest boxing match ever for Jake Paul. Stay on the outside, establish your jab, clinch as soon as he comes in, and just wait until he gasses in round 3 or 4. Touch a 58 year old boxers chin and he’s going out.

Im going with your thoughts exactly. Who you liking in Jones vs. Stipe? Dont laugh but im liking Stipe he looks in great shape for his age. I think everyone is underestimating him. Dude beat Francis Ngannou and DC twice. Heavyweight age not as much an issue bc they still got power. I just don’t like how hes belittling Tom Aspinall, hopefully Stipe hits him clean with a straight right lol, but Johns grappling maybe too much.

Tyson is hard to hit well, he ducks so low , Watches his opponents feet and rises into them inside. Any long legged punk is fair game for his approach.

Unfortunately, Jones wins by submission or elbows from the top. The way the UFC is going these days, Jones probably has a medical waiver because of his torn pec to take things he normally wouldn’t be allowed to. Jones even made Dana ditch the new gloves Dana liked. I’m sick of weight and size bullies too. You should fight close to the weight you walk around at. I hate that I even still follow it. Haha.

Lennox Lewis picked that bobbing and weaving apart. Haha. Jake Paul can’t even be mentioned in the same breath as Lennox Lewis though. Crazy Lennox doesn’t get more love. He was special in the ring.

I’ve never been one to be skeptical of pro athletes throwing fights, because the competitive nature and ego you have to have to reach those levels is astronomical. Butttt, the UFC having no big stars for the US market and Conor trying to strong arm them in negotiations, that Gane fight looked real suspect. Haha. Also, just seems money is sooo important to many currently. No matter how much you have, you must get more!!! Weird. Haha.

Right??? Shocker they constantly have cancelled fights and people underperforming. Cut 30-40 pounds in a week, gain it back in hours, and fight a high level opponent the next night. Usually won’t go well for you. Plus, the long term damage it does to them.

I thought they were both tomorrow night, but your comment made me actually go check. Haha. I won’t give them an extra viewer (I know I know, I’m really hurting Netflix withholding my one view) for Paul/Tyson, but I’ll be waiting anxiously to read play-by-play when it’s over.
Edit: I was hoping the Jake Paul dork was messing with Dana and having his fight the same night as the MSG card. Haha.
