Tyson vs Paul

Yup, and 2 minute rounds. I am still going to watch it. If nothing else, it should be entertaining. I am really interested in what Tyson has left in the tank at 58. Some say it’s staged, others don’t, but either way he will have to put on a show. I watched all the Rocky movies as well and they were total fiction so why not.

Touché. Love that Rocky point/comparison. It is on Netflix after all. I hope to hear Tyson knocks him out in those big gloves.

What I think would be good to see is Tyson knock out Paul. Then take him on to train. The guy says he wants to be a real boxer, imagine the money they could make if Tyson could teach him some real skills.

Damnnnn, I never thought of that. That’s a pretty genius marketing angle on something actually real. Man, that would be brilliant honestly. Clever clever Mr. Dawson. You missed your calling at the big marketing/ad firms in Chicago sir. Haha.

See, it’s already worth it as the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders open the night to AC/DC Thunderstruck.

Yes that was a very nice touch!!

Netflix streaming is terrible.

They need more bandwidth and also need to fix their mics and audio.

Poor production for a huge event.

I did enjoy the early fights a lot. The Ramos fight was my favorite undercard.

Reminds me of all the other Tyson fights I missed everything lol

Edit- seriously are any of you guys even able to see this fight? All I get is buffering restarting buffering restarting…

Yeah the sound is crappy. Video choppy at times. Evander Holyfield couldn’t hear the questions so he couldn’t get into the conversation. Bummer since he’s a big league fighter.

I was rooting for Ramos. He was a bit shorter than Barrios who could out-reach him. Seemed like Ramos waited for Barrios to get tired. Then Ramos poured on the punches.

They shouldn’t let Paul fight with that thick zz-top beard. It’s like a car bumper for his chin. Paul hopes it will absorb some of Tyson’s punches.

I think Serrano will win the women’s fight.

The girls threw down the most the whole night. Taylor’s headbutts and constant hugging were really grinding my gears tho :rage: Serrano deserved that win hands down.

Ramos’ head was directly in front of barrios repeatedly and he did nothing  :joy: was a good fight overall tho.

Disappointed on the Paul/Tyson fight, didn’t stay for the judge call. Least Tyson didn’t get knocked out or anything.

Exactly!

I think Tyson did really great for being 58 years old.

Stayed up like you said!! I did not want to see the champ get knocked out. That’s for sure.

He was looking for that one opportunity that didn’t come his way to really hurt Paul.

At 58 going 8 two minute rounds is pretty good in my book. Wasn’t expecting him to be the 20 year old Tyson, but I honestly did think he would land more punches.

What the actual fuck is happening? Why, how?

Jordan playing 21 against anyone would probably get my money, so aita?

I didn’t watch this, I did look up the results.
Disappointed overall.

Mike is legendary & it would have been AMAZINGLY perfect IF mike had knocked Jake out, that jake guy is a cocky A$$whip :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I will always root for Mike regardless of age!
But yea $40 mill purse makes people do crazy stuff I guess.

Jake was scared af for all that shit he talked. He threw some punches and then ran away, clenching up like ‘please don’t hit me :joy:

Won by scorecard, that makes sense. Mike barely threw any punches the last half of the fight. Kept looking like he was waiting for the right shot but was too slow to capitalize on it when Paul came in for the body shots.

Paul is fighting better now but he’s still a joke imo.

Tyson looked like he forgot about leg day for the last 5 years or so…

Sad day for boxing right there.

As it turns out, being almost 60 is bad for your boxing ability. Who’d have thunk it?

Well Tyson sure didnt live up to the hype, but im glad he didnt get himself hurt.

@HolyAngel your right about the legs, had Paul actually been a better fighter he could have chopped Tyson down to the canvas. Tyson gassed out early in the fight like several here predicted.

I didnt think so in the beginning, but looks like it was a stunt after all.

I had never seen Paul fight or clips from his previous till the prefight show. Once i had i came away thinking he had a better chance than i figured, he’s got better hands than he showed last night. I think he took it easy on Iron Mike.

Thanks for the memories Mike, stay the hell out of the ring and enjoy your family and business.

I had heard early on that the matchmaking for this fight was more about bringing some attention back to the boxing world and it definitely achieved that goal. However Netflix performance streaming this event was garbage, the choice of announcers was garbage. The Barrios/Ramos fight was a helluva battle from beginning to end. All the buffering issues made me call it quits after that fight. I was hyped up to see some of the old Tyson but I think he and all of his fans realized that you can work out all you like for a match but when the “tank” is empty, it’s practically over at that point.
